The Women's Ministry of Morris Hill Baptist Church, located on Morris Hill Road near Igou Gap Road, would like to invite the women of East Brainerd to attend a Lifeway Women Event simulcast of Beth Moore's “Living Proof Live” on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Doors open at 9 a.m.

The Fourth Annual Chattanooga Dragon Boat Festival will be held at Chickamauga Lake on Saturday, with all proceeds to go to T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital.

Physicians Care and Hamilton Place Mall would like to extend a special invitation to all medical providers and health care specialists to participate in a three-day health and wellness fair at Hamilton Place on Friday-Sunday, June 25-27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Space is limited to 30 participants and entry fee is $300. The fee pays for one table, table skirt and tablecloth. Location of the exhibits will be determined on a first-come first-served basis. The 311 “One Call To City Hall” service enables any resident living within Chattanooga city limits to have easy access to city services, effectively replacing the often-confusing phone book “blue” pages.

You may be seeing some preliminary work being done for the East Brainerd Road improvement project from Gray Road (near Ace Hardware) to Ooltewah-Ringgold Road. This is a state project, but trees already are being removed, houses being relocated and other signs that there may be relief from a congested East Brainerd road sometime in the near future.
