I know that the Aloe Vera plant is toxic to cats and dogs & the Fern is toxic to horses.

Poinsettia is toxic to animals. The leaves, stem, and flowers are poisonous to animals.

I also found a document on the Human Society's webpage that has a list of poisonous to animals that may be helpful to pet owners.
