DeHart and McFadden

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lynn DeHart of Signal Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Nichole DeHart, to James Lucas McFadden, son of Dr. and Mrs. Earl Boyd McFadden Jr. of Columbia, S.C. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 27, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Aubrey Houser of Chattanooga, Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Craig of Lookout Mountain, Ga., and the late Tommy Lee DeHart. Ms. DeHart graduated from Girls Preparatory School and received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Georgia. She is a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens, Ga. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Barnwell Palmer McArthur of Columbia, S.C., the late Mary Lide McArthur, and Dr. and Mrs. Earl Boyd McFadden of Greenville, S.C. Mr. McFadden graduated from A.C. Flora High School and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia. He is pursuing a degree at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

Farmer and Lewis

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Farmer III of Chattanooga announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Lee Farmer, to Matthew Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice B. Rivers of Chattanooga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 7, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The future bride is the granddaughter the late Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Farmer Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde E. Hampstead, all of Chattanooga. Ms. Farmer graduated from Boyd Buchanan High School and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She is associate campaign director for United Way of Greater Chattanooga and is a member of Northshore Fellowship. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Denery Rivers and Fernande Rivers of Chattanooga, Mary Henderson of Beavercreek, Ohio, and the late Norman Henderson. Mr. Lewis graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences and received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of the South. He is pursuing a master’s degree in public administration from UTC. He is a privacy consultant with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and is a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hoelke of Signal Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Elizabeth Hoelke, to Michael Brian Hutcherson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe B. Hutcherson III of Soddy-Daisy. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 3, at Hixson First Baptist Church, where the future bride is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mowry of Sugar Valley, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Watters of Signal Mountain. Ms. Hoelke received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Memphis. She is a victim/witness coordinator with the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ben Hutcherson Jr. of Soddy-Daisy, Audrey A. Gass of Hixson and the late Spencer R. Gass. Mr. Hutcherson received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a civil engineer with March Adams and Associates and is a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.

The future bride is the granddaughter of the late J.R. and Daisy Evers of Atmore, Ala., and the late Jack and Ruby Jacquemin of Trussville, Ala. Ms. Jacquemin graduated from Tyner High School and received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as a chemist and is a member of North Shore Fellowship. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Irene York of Rossville, the late Wayne York, Elizabeth Grasham of Chattanooga and the late Charles C. Grasham. Mr. Grasham graduated from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School and received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from UTC. He is employed as a chemist and is a member of North Shore Fellowship.

She is pursuing a degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she is an alumni of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Laymon of Signal Mountain, Dianna Thrasher of Soddy-Daisy, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thrasher of Bishopville, S.C. Mr. Thrasher graduated from Red Bank High School and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from UTC. He is pursuing a medical degree from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. He is a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

The engagement of Yuliya Sergeevna Sukhanova and John Louis Parrott III is announced today. Ms. Sukhanova is the daughter of Sergei Yevtifeevich Sukhanov of Moscow, Russia, and Lyudmila Nikolaevna Sukhanova of Cleveland, Tenn. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are John Louis Parrott and Mrs. Sharyl Ozelle Parrott of Cleveland. The wedding is planned for Friday, Dec. 12, at Mount Olive East Church of God in Cleveland. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Yevtifey Sevostianovich Sukhanov, the late Klavidya Leontievna Sukhanova of Altayskiy kray, Russia, Nikolay Vasilievich Artyushov of Cleveland, the late Nina Kuzminichna Gnedkova of Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan. Ms. Sukhanova graduated from Kazakh State Law Academy in Kazakhstan. She is employed by Bradly Cleveland Services and is a member of Westwood Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late John Louis Parrott, the late Mary Vesta Parrott of Athens, Texas, Robert Lewis Smith of Anderson, Mo., and the late Ozelle Velista Smith. Mr. Parrott is a home school graduate. He is a carpenter and graphic designer and is a member of Living Word Fellowship.

Kristain Michelle O’Rear became the bride of Steven Maurice Henry on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Chickamauga Presbyterian Church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph Bradley Nelms. The bride is the daughter of Tommie and Jean O’Rear of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the bridegroom Jewell Henry of Ringgold and the late William Maurice Henry. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Bridesmaids were Tammie Thomas and Terrie Brown. The junior bridesmaid was Summitt Davidson. Groomsmen were Graceson O’Rear and Mark Henry. The couple took a wedding trip to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. They reside in Ringgold.

Jennifer Kay Clark became the bride of Charles Battle Richardson on Friday, Sept. 19, at East Hampton Point in East Hampton, N.Y. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy. The bride is the daughter of Drs. D.H. and Hannah Clark of Monroe, La. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Boncile C. Crews, the late Rev. Jack H. Crews, Doris C. Clark and the late D.H. Clark Sr. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Joel Whitten Richardson Jr. of Chattanooga. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Newell Battle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joel Whitten Richardson. The bride was escorted by her father. Nicole Crews James was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Wolgumuth Docherty, Soledad Martinez-Sobrado, Mary Elise Nelson, Dr. Kelly Rowden Richardson and Susan Ward Robinson. Joel Whitten Richardson III and Joel Whitten Richardson Jr. served as best men. Groomsmen were Lloyd Andrew Brown, James Patrick Dial, Franklin Leroy Haney Jr. and Dr. Raymond Tabibiazar. The ring bearer was Alexander Pierce James, and the reader was Katelin Dial Haney. The bride is a graduate of St. Frederick’s High School in Monroe and the University of Louisiana. The bridegroom is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. A reception was held at East Hampton Point. The couple reside in New York City.
