Wedding

Schenberg

Barbara Meredith Winer became the bride of Scott Lewis Schenberg on Sunday, March 22, at B’nai Zion Synagogue. The ceremony was performed by Rabbi Richard Sherwin. The bride is the daughter of Sanford and Elaine Winer of Chattanooga. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Waxman of Chattanooga, the late Irvin Brukner, and the late Myer and Rose Winer. Parents of the bridegroom are Elaine Schenberg of Washington, D.C., and the late Michael Schenberg. He is the grandson of Fannie Zacks of Rockville, Md., the late Archie Zacks, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schenberg. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Mallory McCreary was matron of honor. Barry Schenberg served as best man for his brother. Ushers were Stacey Gagne, Pat Lombardo, Keith Yellin and Arthur Winer. A reception was held at the Walden Club. The couple took a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic. They reside in Tampa, Fla.

Engagement

Garrison and Waldron

The engagement of Lindsay Jordan Garrison and Denis Graham “Gray” Waldron is announced today. Ms. Garrison is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny K. Daniel of Chattanooga and James R. Garrison of Dayton, Tenn. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Denis F. Waldron of Waleska, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 11, at Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tenn., where the future bride is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Felix Garrison of Dayton, the late Mr. Garrison, the late Mr. and Mrs. Guthrie Watson of Spring City, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Daniel of Ooltewah. Ms. Garrison graduated from Boyd Buchanan High School and was presented in the 2002 Cotton Ball. She received a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Auburn University, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She is employed in public relations at First Bank in Nashville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Waldron of Mountain Lakes, N.J., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Ramage of Jacksonville, Fla. Mr. Waldron graduated from Lassiter High School in Marietta, Ga., and received a bachelor’s degree in criminology and business from Auburn University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is pursuing a law degree from Nashville School of Law and is employed as a paralegal with Rothschild, Nave and Ausbrooks in Nashville.

Hill and Edlund

Dr. and Mrs. John Roy Hill of Memphis announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Hill, to Alexander Edward Edlund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anders Edward Edlund of Ljunghusen, Sweden. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 2, in Memphis. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Frank, Mrs. Gilbert Madison Roberts Jr. and the late John Hill. Ms. Hill graduated from White Station High School in Memphis and received a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in communication from the University of Pennsylvania. She received a master’s degree in business administration from Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands. She is employed as the president’s associate with Harrah’s Entertainment and the World Series of Poker. Mr. Edlund received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing from Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden. He is employed as an independent marketing consultant.

Lanier and Baker

The engagement of Bridget Michelle Lanier and Chad Wayne Baker is announced today. Ms. Lanier is the daughter of Donald Lanier of Chattanooga and the late Debbie Lanier. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Connie Web of Crandall, Texas. The wedding is planned for Monday, Oct. 12, in Jamaica. The future bride is the granddaughter of Max and Vivian Putnam and Dolas Lanier. Ms. Lanier graduated from East Ridge High School. She is a provider corporate recruiter in Dallas and is a member of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dan and Gail Waszak, Oleta Baker and the late Johnny Baker. Mr. Baker graduated from Rowlett High School in Dallas. He is employed as a firefighter/paramedic and is a member of Fellowship Church.

The engagement of Chelsea Glenn McAloon and Michael Luke Flessner is announced today. Ms. McAloon is the daughter of Julie Davidson and Scott Warren of Chattanooga and Stephen McAloon of St. Augustine, Fla. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. David Flessner of Chattanooga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 16, in Chattanooga. The future bride is the granddaughter of Nancy Davidson of Chattanooga, the late Robert H. Davidson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Owen McAloon of St. Augustine. Ms. McAloon graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a staffing specialist with A-1 Employment Inc. in Opelika, Ala., and is a member of Northshore Fellowship. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Baumgardner of Winter Haven, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Flessner of Lakeland, Fla. Mr. Flessner graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences and received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in plant sciences from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is pursuing a master’s degree in agronomy and soils from Auburn University and is a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Smith of Soddy-Daisy announce the engagement of their daughter, Deborah Tia Marie Miller, to Dagan West Beckett, son of Ronald Beckett of Chattanooga and Clara Beckett of Hixson. She is employed as a price analyst with Mohawk Industries. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Vincent of Athens, Tenn., Anita Beckett of Ooltewah and the late Thomas Beckett. Mr. Beckett is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music from UTC. He is director of contemporary worship at Burks United Methodist Church.

Tony and Nancy Neves of Cleveland, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan LeAnne Neves, to Taylor Joseph Benjamin Thomas, son of Lee and Judy Thomas of Chattanooga. Wade and Smalley

The engagement of Lauren Reid Wade and Brett Matthew Smalley is announced today. Ms. Wade is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Wade and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce H. Barker, all of South Fulton, Tenn. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Charles “Bill” Smalley and Marketa Shuford, both of Chattanooga. The wedding is planned for Friday, July 17, at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Fla. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon G. Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wade, all of South Fulton, Tenn. Ms. Wade graduated from South Fulton High School. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Middle Tennessee State University, where she is a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The future bridegroom is the grandson of William R. Judge and Martha “Jody” Judge, both of Chattanooga, the late Charles W. Smalley Sr. of Norcross, Ga., and the late Virginia Sosebee Smalley of Tocoa, Ga. Mr. Smalley graduated from Hixson High School. He is pursuing a master’s degree, magna cum laude, in business administration from MTSU. He will be a marketing representative with Federated Insurance in Owatonna, Minn., and is a member of New Vision Baptist Church.

Taylor

Sonya Leigh Dillard became the bride of William H. Taylor on Friday, March 27, at The Wedding Chapel. The ceremony was performed by Don Glenn. The bride is the daughter of Martin and Geri Dider of Collegedale. Parents of the bridegroom are the late William H. and Elsie Mae Taylor of Collegedale. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Krista Dillard was maid of honor, and the bridesmaid was Scarlett Taylor. The flower girl was Emalyn Prescott. Houston Taylor served at best man, and the groomsman was Andy Lechler. The ring bearer was Emory Castillo, and the usher was Marty Dider. A reception was held in the chapel. The couple took a wedding trip to South Beach, Fla. They reside in Ooltewah.
