The engagement of Brittney Elise Chandler and Bryan Patrick Hudson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Robin Chandler of Acworth, Ga., and Jim Chandler of Kennesaw, Ga. Miss Catoe received a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of the Cumberlands. She is employed as team sports lead with Dicks Sporting Goods in Carbondale, Ill., and is a member of The Vine Community Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Santiago Perez of Jalisco, Mexico, Elisa Lazaro of Chicago, the late Pedro Guerrero and the late Angelita Murillo. Mr. Perez is a graduate of Elk Grove, Ill., High School. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies at Southern Illinois University. He is employed as a gymnastics instructor with Ultimate Gymnastics in Carbondale. He is a member of The Vine Community Church.

The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Wilma and William Taft Walden Sr., and Lenora and Fred Roth of Kenningston, Ga. Miss Hughes is a graduate of Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mercer University, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver. She is a member of Unitarian Universalist Church in Atlanta, and is employed as a management analyst for the Georgia Department of Audits, performance division. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Floyd Semmons, the late Bonnie Semmons, the late Lyra Luella and Carl Petty, all of Shenandoah, Iowa. Mr. Petty is a graduate of Wheat Ridge High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in social studies from the University of Northern Colorado, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver. He is a social studies teacher at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Ga.
