Alexander and Eiland

The engagement of Amanda Eugenia Alexander and William Michael Eiland is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dr. Robert Alexander and Jeannette and Ross Fox of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Susan Givhan Hall, the late Dr. Stanley Hall Jr., and William H. and Amanda Eiland of Newnan, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 10, in LaGrange, Ga. The future bride is the granddaughter of Matilde Wilder Johnston, the late Raymond W. Johnston of New Port Richey, Fla., and the late Dr. and Mrs. LeBron Alexander. Miss Alexander is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School, and the Process Institute of Cosmetology. She is employed as a hairstylist at Cranberry Salon and Day Spa in Maryville, Tenn. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edgar G. Givhan and the late Mr. and Mrs. William H. Eiland Jr. Mr. Eiland is a graduate of Emory University and Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. He is employed as the lead line chef at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn.

Armstrong and Van Winkle

The engagement of Jana Gayle Armstrong and Andrew William Van Winkle is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jay Mark Armstrong and the late Jeannie Esch Armstrong. Parents of the future bridegroom are Carol K. Van Winkle and John W. Van Winkle. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 5, at Brainerd United Methodist Church, where the future bride is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Jeanette Armstrong, the late James Armstrong and the late Joe and Betty Esch. Miss Armstrong graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, and attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Frances J. Van Winkle, the late Roscoe Van Winkle, and the late Rev. Burrell and Geneva Ketchersid, all of Knoxville. Mr. Van Winkle graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, and attended Middle Tennessee State University. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and is a Petty Officer, 2nd class, in the United States Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Va.

Blevins and Nealon

The engagement of Natalie Danielle Blevins and David Alen Nealon is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Debora and Robert Cooper of Ider, Ala., and Charles Blevins of Bryant, Ala. Parents of the future bridegroom are Stefani and Bob Bayne of Rossville, Ga., and Robert Nealon III. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 10, in an outdoor ceremony in Bryant. The future bride is the granddaughter of J.C. and Marie Atchley of Ider. Miss Blevins is a graduate of Ider High School and will attend North East Community College in the fall. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dan and Cheryl Clark of LaFayette, Ga. Mr. Nealon is a homeschool graduate, and is employed as a paper carrier for the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

The engagement of Elizabeth Anne Didier and Hugh Henry “Chip” Hannah IV is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Judith Didier of Knoxville and the late U.E. Sam Didier III of Shreveport, La. Parents of the future bridegroom are Hugh and Jayne Hannah. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 19, at the home of the future bridegroom’s parents. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Charles and Julia Hayes, and the late Ulyses E. and Lillie Mae Didier. Miss Didier received a bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a master’s degree in range science from Utah State University. She is employed as a certified arborist with Knoxville Utilities Board. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jean M. Smith, the late Charles D. Funk, Hugh Hannah and the late Shirley K. Hannah. Mr. Hannah is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed as an environmental specialist for the state of Tennessee.

Mr. Folsom is a graduate of Houston County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Mercer University.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Stanley Martin DuPree of Albany Ga., the late Mrs. Dupree, the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Yarbrough, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Pierce. Mr. Yarbrough received a bachelor’s degree in science, cum laude, and a master’s degree in accountancy from Wake Forest University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is employed as senior manager at KPMG LLP.

Miss Sikes is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. She is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Middle Tennessee State University, where she is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She is a member of Concord Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jacqueline Guijarro, the late Marcos Delgado, and Mr. and Mrs. Jose Rivera. Mr. Delgado is a graduate of Berryhill High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in recording industry, technology and production from MTSU, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
