The engagement of Chelsea Marie White and Mitchell Chase Jackson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Tina Marie White of Ponchatula, La., and the late Danny Eugene White. Parents of the future bridegroom are Michael Anthony and Stacy Lyn Jackson of Chickamauga, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Wedding Chapel. The future bride is the granddaughter of Dorris Hill of Chesterfield, Va., and Eugene and Wilma White of Ponchatula. Miss White is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. She is pursuing a degree in English literature at Dalton State College. She is a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church, and is employed at Fairyland Country Club. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Donald and Elizabeth Jackson of Rossville, Ga., Hershel and JoAnn Davis of Flintstone, Ga., Glenda Clay and the late Donald Clay. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. He is pursuing a degree in radiology at Dalton State College. He is a member of Noble Fellowship Church, and is employed at Tennessee Process Pumps.

Leslie Ann Braud became the bride of Paul Vaughn Rigsby in a ceremony on Thursday, July 16, at Lighthouse Point Beech, Fla. The Rev. Ron Cerasuolo performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Debbie Malchesky of Chatsworth, Ga., and Todd Braud of Dalton, Ga. Parents of the bridegroom are Cindy and Randy Rigsby. Garrett Rigsby and Jacob Rigsby served as ring bearers. A reception was held in Florida. The couple reside in Ooltewah.

The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Francis Zakowski of Colebrook, Ohio, and the late Anthony A. Zakowski. Miss Zakowski received a registered nursing degree from St. Clair College, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington, Ky., and is a critical care nurse at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Oswald Davis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington, and is a general surgery resident at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

The bride is the daughter of Jim Smith of Dayton, Tenn., and the late Wanda Smith. Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Cindy Smith of Dayton. Jamie Smith was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Joni Varner, Rhonda Berger and Ashley Smith. Abigail Ballard was the flower girl. Mr. Smith served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Justin Ballard, Chad Boyd and Brent Smith. Kyler Ballard was the ring bearer. A reception was held at the Dill’s home. The couple took a wedding trip to the Bahamas. They reside in Dayton.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Floyd Semmons, the late Bonnie Semmons, the late Lyra Luella and Carl Petty, all of Shenandoah, Iowa. Mr. Petty is a graduate of Wheat Ridge High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in social studies from the University of Northern Colorado, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver. He is a social studies teacher at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Ga.
