Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. He is pursuing a degree in radiology at Dalton State College. The bride is the daughter of Debbie Malchesky of Chatsworth, Ga., and Todd Braud of Dalton, Ga. Parents of the bridegroom are Cindy and Randy Rigsby. Garrett Rigsby and Jacob Rigsby served as ring bearers. A reception was held in Florida. The couple reside in Ooltewah.

Miss Zakowski received a registered nursing degree from St. Clair College, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington, Ky., and is a critical care nurse at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Oswald Davis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington, and is a general surgery resident at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He received a bachelor’s degree in social studies from the University of Northern Colorado, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver. He is a social studies teacher at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Ga.
