The engagement of Jennifer Renee Collins and Joseph Ian Mason is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Tim and Paula Collins, and Dennis and Karen Massengale. Parents of the future bridegroom are the Rev. Bill and Beth Mason. A fall wedding is planned. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Stubblefield. Miss Collins received a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Harriet Walker and Rosalie Mason. Mr. Mason received a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from UTC. He is a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church.

The engagement of Alicia Cooper and Bill Farris is announced today. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 5, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Miss Cooper is an independent travel consultant for McKee Foods. Mr. Farris is senior vice president at U.S. Xpress.

The engagement of Megan Laura Marek and James Glenn Inglis Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of John and Leigh Williams of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Mark and Leann Marek of Rossford, Ohio. Parents of the future bridegroom are Steve and Donna Keehan of Naples, Fla., and Jim and Sharon Inglis. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 17, in Gulf Shores, Ala. Miss Marek received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed in marketing at True North Custom Publishing. Mr. Inglis received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, health and leisure studies from UTC. He is employed in accounting at VIP Gift.

The engagement of Lauren Deana McKaig and Andrew Richard Jones is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Hal and Susan McKaig of Trenton, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are June and Richard Jones of Eastman, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 24, at Sunrise Farm in Trenton. The future bride is the granddaughter of Barbara and John Sidelinker and Patsy McKaig. Miss McKaig received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Carson-Newman College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Erlanger Hospital. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Joyce Jones and Bonnie King. Mr. Jones received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in nursing-anesthesia from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed as a CRNA at Erlanger Hospital.

Myers and Waddell

The engagement of Kristen Elizabeth Myers and Richard Blake Waddell is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Charles and Jerri Myers of Memphis. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tim and Brenda Waddell. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 26, in Memphis. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Marion G. Keller, L.T. and Elizabeth Keller Beene, Billie Myers and the late Charles R. Myers. Miss Myers is a graduate of Carlisle High School. She received bachelor’s degrees in sociology and criminal justice from the University of Arkansas. She is a senior associate with Howell Marketing Strategies LLC. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jess and June Tant, the Rev. William and Mary Waddell and the late Faye Waddell. Mr. Waddell is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from Rhodes College, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and a master’s degree from Union University. He is a teacher and coach at Germantown High School in Germantown, Tenn.

White and Jackson

The engagement of Chelsea Marie White and Mitchell Chase Jackson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Tina Marie White of Ponchatula, La., and the late Danny Eugene White. Parents of the future bridegroom are Michael Anthony and Stacy Lyn Jackson of Chickamauga, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Wedding Chapel. The future bride is the granddaughter of Dorris Hill of Chesterfield, Va., and Eugene and Wilma White of Ponchatula. Miss White is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. She is pursuing a degree in English literature at Dalton State College. She is a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church, and is employed at Fairyland Country Club. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Donald and Elizabeth Jackson of Rossville, Ga., Hershel and JoAnn Davis of Flintstone, Ga., Glenda Clay and the late Donald Clay. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. He is pursuing a degree in radiology at Dalton State College. He is a member of Noble Fellowship Church, and is employed at Tennessee Process Pumps.

Zakowski and Culpepper

The engagement of Jean Marie Zakowski and Dr. Christopher Lee Culpepper is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allen Zakowski of Marietta, Ohio. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Riley Lee Culpepper. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 28, in Heinz Memorial Chapel on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Francis Zakowski of Colebrook, Ohio, and the late Anthony A. Zakowski. Miss Zakowski received a registered nursing degree from St. Clair College, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington, Ky., and is a critical care nurse at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Oswald Davis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington, and is a general surgery resident at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Abby Gilbertson became the bride of Ryan Hysmith in a ceremony on Saturday, June 13, at Laurelwood on Signal Mountain. Dr. Roy Sharp and the Rev. Steve Lusk performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Pam and Jim Gilbertson. Parents of the bridegroom are Becky and Tony Hysmith of Henderson, Tenn. Megan Philpott was matron of honor. Emma Rinks was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Saunders, Sarah Ray, Micah Berry, Chelsea Lane, Lauren Horton and Micah Wesson. Mr. Hysmith served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Emerson, Drew Naylor, Grat Tucker, Tyler Pennington, Will Patterson and Ross Hysmith. A reception was held at Laurelwood. The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica. They reside in Nashville.

Groomsmen were Nicholas Edwards, Jason Strickland, Stephen Woods, and Jack Kerlee. Braylen Silva was the ring bearer. A reception was held at the church. The couple took a wedding trip to Florida. They reside in Murfreesboro.

She received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mercer University, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver. She is a member of Unitarian Universalist Church in Atlanta, and is employed as a management analyst for the Georgia Department of Audits, performance division. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Floyd Semmons, the late Bonnie Semmons, the late Lyra Luella and Carl Petty, all of Shenandoah, Iowa. Mr. Petty is a graduate of Wheat Ridge High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in social studies from the University of Northern Colorado, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver. He is a social studies teacher at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Ga.
