Barukh and Parker

Isaac and Lindsay Barukh of Chattanooga announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Lillian Barukh, to Jordan Michael Parker, son of Barry Parker and LeNet Solomon Parker, both of Chattanooga. The wedding is planned for Sunday, May 24, in the Sculpture Garden at Bluff View Art District. The future bride is the granddaughter of Rosemary Borck of Chattanooga. Ms. Barukh received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Boston University. She is a teacher at Ganns Middle Valley Elementary School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney Solomon of Dalton, Ga., Betty Parker of Chattanooga and the late Julius Parker. Mr. Parker graduated from McCallie School and Appalachian State University. He is owner of Parker’s Direct Flooring Inc.

Estes and Brezina

Gary and Nancy Estes of Chattanooga announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Estes, to E. Michael Brezina III, son of Mark and Deborah Brezina of Knoxville. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 18, at Baylor School Chapel. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.A. West, Doris Estes and the late Thomas Earl Estes, all of Chattanooga. Ms. Estes graduated from Baylor School and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Golden Key and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and Chi Omega Sorority. She was presented in the 2002 Cotton Ball. She is a critical care nurse in Knoxville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Betty J. Davis, the late C.H. Davis, Gertrude Brezina and the late E. Michael Brezina. Mr. Brezina graduated from Farragut High School and received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from UTK, where he was named Phi Beta Kappa and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society, and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He received a doctor of jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is an attorney with Hodges, Doughty and Carson.

Hayes and Emmert

Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Hayes of Dayton, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth Hayes, to Phillip Michael Emmert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael P. Emmert of Hinsdale, Ill. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 10, at Church Street United Methodist Church in Knoxville. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Bowen and Mr. and Mrs. Dock Hayes, all of Crossville, Tenn. Ms. Hayes received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She is an event marketing representative with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerald B. Conroy and Rosemary Emmert, all of Dixon, Ill. Mr. Emmert received a bachelor’s degree in political science from UTK, where he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He is director of client services with ActivHealth.

Pemberton and Melhorn

Jim and Lisa Pemberton of Cleveland, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Diane Pemberton, to William Joshua Melhorn, son of Bill and Vicki Melhorn of Chattanooga. The wedding is planned for Friday, Jan. 16, at Aventura Spa Palace in Mexico. The future bride is the granddaughter of Bill McMahan, Patsy Cantrell, the late Peggy and J.D. Pemberton, all of Cleveland. Ms. Pemberton graduated from Cleveland High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She received a doctorate in occupational therapy from Belmont University. She is employed as an occupational therapist and is a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of I.J. and Jean Bowman of Ringgold, Ga., the late Sam and Martha Wilhoit and the late William A. Melhorn Sr. Mr. Melhorn graduated from Red Bank High School and received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UTK. He received a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a project design engineer with Alstom Power and is a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church.

She is a pharmaceutical representative with Eli Lilly and Co. and is a member of Christ United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Neal Abbey Truslow of Winnsboro, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. George Peter Chaconas of Isle of Palms, S.C., the late Betty Chaconas and Cardinal Newman of Columbia, S.C. Mr. Truslow received bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is pursuing a law degree from the University of South Carolina Law School and is a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

Michael Feely and the Rev. Gloria Lightsey-Lewis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Russell Kmiec of Burke, Va. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Sherman Crawford of Chattanooga. Marsha Lynn Kmiec attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christie Bledsoe Baggett, Lesli Ann Brown, Rachel Elaine Clements, Lindsey Ann Costello, Emily Cox Croffut, Lara Michael Kay, Melissa Lynn McGuire and Jennie Anne Nies. The junior bride was Chloe Marcelle Reilly, and the flower girl was Lilly Grace Reilly. Max White Zarchin served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Lamar Foster, Dustin Franklin Lewis, Clifton Randolph Lowry, William Nathan Malone, Thomas Sterling Greene Mills, Michael Carl Quarles, Jeffrey Edward Stoneking and Cary Walters Tapscott. The ring bearer was Cavan James Reilly. A reception was held at the Sheraton Read House. The couple took a wedding trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands. They reside in Knoxville.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Beverly Mauer of Chattanooga. Parents of the bridegroom are Donald and Linda Fleming of Maxton, N.C. Shari Kately attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danialle Evans, Jenny Mather, Christen Shedden and Laura Wiseman. Mr. Fleming served as best man for his son. Groomsmen were Jason Deans, Scott Mauer, Patrick McHenry and Douglas Stewart. The ring bearer was Ryan Kately. A reception was held at Mansion on Forsyth Square in Savannah. The couple took a wedding trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands. They will reside in Hickory, N.C.
