Tatum and Engle

The engagement of Dr. Erin Elizabeth Tatum and Dr. Nicholas Patrick Engle is announced today. Dr. Tatum is the daughter of Myra Galloway Tatum of Chattanooga and David Tatum of Spring City, Tenn. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Pat and Beth Engle of Sioux City, Iowa. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 20, at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, where the future bride is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mary Galloway of Spring City, Tenn. Dr. Tatum graduated from Baylor High School and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of the South at Suwanee. She received a doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. She is an optometrist with Thompson Lane Eye Care in Nashville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Lynne Wetzel and Bruce Engle, both of Sioux City. Dr. Engle graduated from Bishop Heelan High School and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Northern Iowa. He received a doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. He is an optometrist with Primary Eyecare Group in Nashville and is a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

Phyllis W. Shuptrine and Thilo H. Best were united in marriage on Saturday, Jan. 17, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. George L. Choyce. The bride was given in marriage by her son, Randall Shuptrine. Thilo D. Best served as best man for his father. A reception was held at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. The couple took a wedding cruise to the Bahamas. They will reside on Signal Mountain.

Kelli Marie Chester became the bride of Travis Tate Clark on Saturday, Sept. 20, at First Baptist Church of Chattanooga. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Earl C. Davis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Chester of Mount Juliet, Tenn. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Morris Tate Clark of Chickamauga, Ga. Stacey Holifield was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Bourne, Kerri Collins, Amber Thieniel and Rachel Romeo. The flower girl was Imari Smith. Larry Burns served as best man. Groomsmen were Jordan Hallquist, Adam Varnell, Tommy Haggler and Craig Swan. The ring bearer was Olivia Davis. A reception was held at the Walden Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Walt Disney World. They reside in Ooltewah.

Lindsey Noelle Brown became the bride of Capt. Travis Heath Hacker on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Morton Memorial Methodist Church in Monteagle, Tenn. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Charles Kinder. The bride is the daughter of Bill and Lisa Turner of Marion County, Tenn., and Jerry and Kim Brown of Panama City, Fla. Parents of the bridegroom are Dennis and Sharon Hacker of Brentwood, Tenn. The bride was given in marriage by her father and stepfather. Honor attendants were Caprill Hacker and Hannah Brown. James Glover served as best man. Groomsmen were Capt. Mark Hill and Capt. Anthony Heisler. The reader was Tony Mikelonis. A reception was held at the home of Bill and Lisa Turner. The couple will reside in Fort Hood, Texas.

Groomsmen were Mike Nicks, Jonathan Moore, Rex Price and Justin Long. The ring bearer was Noah Britt. A reception was held at Walden’s Ridge Community Center. The couple took a wedding trip to Panama City Beach, Fla. They reside in Soddy-Daisy.
