Andrews and Vaughn

The engagement of Leia Nicole Andrews and Christopher Ryan Vaughn is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ray and Nan Andrews of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Craig Vaughn of Dalton, Ga., and Kim Kinnamon of Ormond Beach, Fla. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 25, at First Christian Church. The future bride is the granddaughter of Russ and Juanita Webb, the late F.D. “Bill’’ Jones of Calhoun, Ga., and Bill and Barbara Andrews of Ringgold. Ms. Andrews is a graduate of Ringgold High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of West Georgia. She is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Covenant College. She is a teacher at Ringgold Elementary School, and is a member of Burning Bush Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Alvin and Lois Vaughn of Dalton, Betty Kinnamon and the late Ish Kinnamon of Calhoun. Mr. Vaughn is a graduate of Dalton High School. He attended Kennesaw State College, and received an associate’s degree in business administration from Dalton State College. He attends Rock Bridge Baptist Church, and is general manager of Georgia Carpet Industries in Dalton.

Beene and Hitch

The engagement of Emily Ellen Beene and Bradford Hitch is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary D. Beene. Parents of the future bridegroom are Robert D. Hitch and Susan Taylor Hitch of Maryville, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Little Brown Church on Signal Mountain. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Thomas and Jamie Packer, Mrs. M.W. Beene and the late Mr. Beene. Ms. Beene received a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church, and is employed at the Bluff View Art District. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Tom and Barbara Taylor and Bob and Laverne Hitch. Mr. Hitch received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Milligan College. He is a member of Maryville Vineyard Christian Community Church, and is an occupational therapist in Knoxville.

The engagement of Tamieka L. Benning and Darrell D. Hinton Jr. is announced today. Linda Benning is the mother of the future bride. Parents of the future bridegroom are Denise and Frank Shropshire Jr. and Tawanna and Darrell D. Hinton Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 25, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, where the future bride is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Rufus Benning Sr. and Mary E. Benning. Ms. Benning is a graduate of Howard School of Academics and Technology. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tennessee State University, and is employed by the Walker County Department of Family and Children Services. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jacqueline Pace, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shropshire Sr., Velma Hinton, and Mr. and Mrs. Devotis Pace of Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Hinton is a graduate of Brainerd High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University. He is a firefighter with the city of Chattanooga.

The engagement of Mary Elizabeth Black and Hunter Ryan Augustino is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mary Black-Mullins and the late Jack E. Black Jr. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mr. Philip Augustino of Roseville, Calif. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 25, at Ooltewah United Methodist Church. The future bride is the granddaughter of Polly Anna Black and Al Gardner of Birmingham, Ala. Ms. Black is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. She received a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in physical education from Middle Tennesee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She is a substitute teacher for the Hamilton County school system. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Pat Cole of Steinhatchee, Fla., and Ken Moore of Little Rock, Ark. Mr. Augustino is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in construction management from MTSU, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He is a project engineer for EMJ Corp.

The engagement of Linda Jo Gannaway and Phillip Wyatt Walton is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of the late Howard Milton Gannaway and the late Merita Jo Gannaway. Mr. Walton received an associate’s degree in liberal arts from El Paso Community College. He is a member of Victory Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and is employed with the U.S. Postal Service.

Mr. Morris is a graduate of the Lovett School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is a member of Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, and is an IT consultant at Accenture.

Amy Epperson, Tara Stewart, Amber Hayes and Tricia Marsh were bridesmaids. Cotter Hill served as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Brewer, Cory Hilton, Alex West and Sean Crum. A reception was held at the church. The couple took a wedding trip to Gatlinburg. They reside in this city.
