Chadwick and Nichols

The engagement of Elizabeth Wright Chadwick and David Stonestreet Nichols Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Barnett Chadwick of Jackson, Miss. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. David Stonestreet Nichols Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 18, at the Oxford-University United Methodist Church in Mississippi in Oxford, Miss.. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Wright McInnes, the late Mr. McInnes and the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles William Chadwick, all of Jackson. Miss Chadwick received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She is a member of Wells United Methodist Church in Jackson. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. N.R. Nichols III, Mr. and Mrs. Collins Haigler of Birmingham, Ala., the late Caroline Dodd Nichols, the late Barbara McKenzie Nichols and the late Thomas H. Hamm. Mr. Nichols received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He is employed in truck equipment sales for Nichols Fleet Equipment.

The engagement of Ellen Virginia Nichols and Mark Saalfield Norris Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Stonestreet Nichols Sr. Parents of the future bridegroom are Sen. and Mrs. Mark Saalfield Norris Sr. of Collierville, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 20, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The future bride is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. N.R. Nichols III, the late Caroline Dodd Nichols, the late Barbara McKenzie Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. Collins Haigler and the late Thomas H. Hamm of Birmingham, Ala. Miss Nichols is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Charles Patterson Norris, the late Elizabeth Saalfield Norris Whitmore, and Mr. and Mrs. William Curtis Cowan Sr. of Collierville. Mr. Norris is a graduate of Memphis University School. He received a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He is a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, and is an associate vice president with Morgan Keegan & Co. Inc. in Memphis.

The future bride is the granddaughter of William and Francis Pearson of Mobile, Ala. Miss Pearson is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Southern Mississippi University and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a member of Pine Lake Baptist Church, and is an occupational therapist at Mid South Rehab. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Donald and Lou Ann Buckner of Etowah, Tenn., and H.L. and Wanda Patterson of Athens, Tenn. Mr. Patterson is a graduate of Ringgold High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in management from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. He is a member of Pine Lake Baptist Church, and is employed as a sales representative with Ashland Distribution Co.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walter Red of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara-Page Red, to Daniel James Barnwell, son of Brenda Brown and the late James Rhett Barnwell Jr. He is the nephew of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Walker Barnwell of Newport News, Va. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 5, at Church of the Good Shepherd, Episcopal, where both are members. The future bride is the granddaughter of H.E. “Pete” Page, the late Frances Morgan Page, Sara Lee Red and the late Walter Allen Sadd Red. Miss Red is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor’s degree in fine art from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She is enrolled in Chattanooga State Technical Community College’s nursing program. She is a member of the Junior League of Chattanooga. She is employed at Roof Products Inc. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Rhett Barnwell. Mr. Barnwell is a graduate of Hixson High School. He is enrolled in the electrical engineering program at Chattanooga State, and is employed as an electrician at Adman Electric.

She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Larry and Floy Pierce, Fletcher Broome, Donald Hudson and the late Faye Hudson. Mr. Hudson is a graduate of Red Bank High School. He received an associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. He is employed by TVA.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Litton and Audrie Daugherty of Oliver Springs, Tenn., Helen Scealf and the late Charles Scealf. Mr. Daugherty is a graduate of Grace Baptist Academy. He received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from UTC. He is a teacher at Ivy Academy and a TSSAA basketball and football official. Mr. Daugherty is a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph A. Beegle III of Cleveland, Tenn. Parents of the bridegroom are Christa Ann Smith of Mobile, Ala., and William Franklin Few of Houston, Texas. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Emily Walker, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Nicole Champion, Mary Virginia Richardson, Laurie Howard and Christi Phillips were bridesmaids. Benjamin Few, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Randy Fitzgibbons, Josh Conner, Mark Nicholson and Shelby Walker were groomsmen. A reception was held at the Mountain City Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica. They will reside in Ooltewah.

John McGinness Greer, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Roddy Greer Jr., Thomas Randel Greer, Hamilton Parnell Greer, Michael Stephen Greer and Zachary George Greer. A reception was held at The Loveless Cafe Barn in Nashville. The couple took a wedding trip to Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic. The couple reside in Memphis.
