The engagement of Laura Catherine Collins and Jonathan David Hennen is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David N. Collins. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James M. Hennen. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 25, at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mildred F. Collins, the late Eugene Collins, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hurst. Miss Collins received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Washington University. She is a student at Catholic University Law School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Melba and Bud Hennen and the late Hilda and Philip Scott-Roy. Mr. Hennen received a bachelor’s degree in communications from George Mason University. He is employed as a media production director and engineer.

Cox and Gutherless

The engagement of Robyn Cox and Curtis Gutherless is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Clara and Douglas Schmidt of Cape Coral, Fla., and the late Roy Cox. Parents of the future bridegroom are Linda and Darryl Ballheim of Lexington, Neb. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 20, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Knoxville, where the future bridegroom is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Clara Brown of Baltimore, Md. Miss Cox received an honors degree in medical billing and coding from National College. She is a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church, and is employed as a private nurse. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Leita Larimore of Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Gutherless is a graduate of Lexington High School and is a communications technician.

The engagement of Sarah Kathryn Guin and Jason Robert Lawhorn is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Tim and Kim Guin. Parents of the future bridegroom are Ben and Patricia Miller and the late Dr. James Lawhorn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 8, at Red Bank Baptist Church, where both are members. The future bride is the granddaughter of Ginny Richeson, the late H. Dean Richeson, Stella and Howard Camp of Kennesaw, Ga., and the late Byron Guin. Miss Guin is a graduate of Red Bank High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a category manager at Chattem. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Kathleen and James Cox, Shirley and John Lawhorn, Virginia Miller and the late Ben Miller. Mr. Lawhorn is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in religion from Carson Newman College. He is an IT analyst at TVA.

She is a nurse, and a member of Christ Church Presbyterian in Atlanta. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. U.G. Bowen, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Price. Mr. Bowen is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He received a master’s degree in theology, summa cum laude, from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church, and is campus minister at Kennesaw State University.

The engagement of Amber Lea Pratt and Robert Maxwell Gardner is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jerry and Denise Hamm, and William Pratt of Douglasville, Ga. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late William and Vivian Pratt, Paul Shoemaker of Winter Haven, Fla., and the late Frances Shoemaker. Miss Pratt is a graduate of Boyd Buchanan School. She is pursuing a degree in human development at Lee University, and is a member of Central Baptist Church of Hixson. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Charles and Barbara Goodgame. Mr. Gardner is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served in Iraq. He is a logistics coordinator for the Veteran’s Administration in Birmingham, Ala.
