Breitback and Ragsdale

The engagement of Amanda Rose Breitback and Ryan Michael Ragsdale is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Beverly Breitbach of Brockway, Mont., and Paul Breitbach of Lincoln, Mont. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mike and Babs Ragsdale. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 19, in Glendive, Mont. The future bride is the granddaughter of Fabian and Irene Breitback of Circle, Mont., and Betty Derry of Libby, Mont. Ms. Breitback received bachelor’s degrees in photography and French from Montana State University. She is a photographer and managing editor for the Glendive Ranger Review newspaper. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Bob and Ann Brock and John and Martha Ragsdale. Mr. Ragsdale received a bachelor’s degree in environmental economics from the University of Georgia, and a master’s degree in soil science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is a soil scientist with the U.S.D.A. in Miles City, Mont.

Cole and Waters

The engagement of Stephanie Lynn Cole and Derral Eddie Waters is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Larry and Rebecca Cole of Dalton, Ga., and O. Lynn Cochran-Cole of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dale and Carolyn Waters. The wedding is planned for Tuesday, July 14, in Destin, Fla. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cole of Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simmons of Summerville, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. John Tucker. Ms. Cole is a graduate of Southeast High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed by Trinity Mother Francis Hospital and Apricot Lane in Tyler, Texas. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Homer Simpson and the late Robbie Simpson of Dunlap, Tenn. Mr. Waters is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School, and is employed with H & H X-Ray in Tyler.

Dean and McClain

The engagement of Jaime Page Dean and James Edward McClain is announced today. Ms. Dean is the daughter of Page and Greg Stoe of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Douglas and Linda McClain of Jasper, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 22, at The Grandview on Lookout Mountain. The future bride is the granddaugher of Charles and Betty Blackwell of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., the late Eugene and Elsie Brandon, and the late Lilly Dean. Ms. Dean is a graduate of Ringgold High School, and is a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a customer service representative with T-Mobile. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Martin and Louella Parker of Jasper, and the late Ernest and Odell McClain of South Pittsburg, Tenn. Mr. McClain is a graduate of Marion County High School. He attended Tennessee Technological University and UTC. He is employed by Stanley Steamer.

Humphreys and Rice

The engagement of Rachel Alexandra Humphreys and 1st Lt. Thomas Cameron Rice is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of John and Martha Humphreys of Richmond Hill, Ga. The future bridegroom is the son of Mike and Betsy Rice. The wedding is planned for Sunday, July 5, in Savannah, Ga. Miss Humphreys is a graduate of Pembroke Hill School. She attended Scripps College and is pursuing a career as an EMT and firefighter. The future bridegroom is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Lt. Rice is an infantry platoon leader in Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment at Fort Stewart, Ga.

The engagement of Kristi Michelle Krepper and Brad Richard Cothran is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ed Tate of Tampa, Fla. She is a member of Apostles Anglican Church, and is a case worker for Youth Villages Inc. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Raymond and Phyllis Briscoe II of Florida. Mr. Briscoe is a member of Apostles Anglican Church, and is a certified automotive technician.

Mary Ann Akin performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Stephen and Patricia Askew of Knoxville, and John and Celeste Shibata of Cowan, Tenn. Parents of the bridegroom are Rick and Karen Brehm. The bride’s honor attendant was her brother, David Benjamin Askew. Ashley Norman Rathel, Julie Guy Earls, and Kelley Linderman were bridesmaids. Sarah Ward was flower girl. Joshua Brehm served his brother as best man. The bridegroom’s attendants were Sarah Elizabeth Brehm, Kirk Fabish and James Bennett. A reception was held at the lodge.
