Amber Suzanne Hughes became the bride of Brian John Keegan in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Greenway Farm. The Rev. Stan Braley performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Charlie and Cindy Hughes. Parents of the bridegroom are John and Cathie Keegan, and Susan Peterson of Sugarloaf, Calif. Mandy Jackson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Luna Kilpatrick was the flower girl. Mike Keegan served his brother as best man. Jamie Jackson was ring bearer. A reception was held at Greenway Farm. The couple reside in Hixson after a wedding trip to Palm Beach, Fla.

Geil and Smyth

The engagement of Katherine Holland Geil of Raleigh, N.C., and Garrett Whitcomb Smyth is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Joeseph Blanton and John McIntosh Geil. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Owen Rockwood Smyth. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 16, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, N.C. Miss Geil is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lewis Speight Morris of Greensboro, N.C., the late Hargrove Bowles Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Herbert Geil. Mr. Smyth is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garrett P. Johnston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Owen A. Smyth.

Lee and Russell

The engagement of Abigail Margaret Anne Lee and Richard W. Russell is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of David and Rosemary Lee. Parents of the future bridegroom are Robert G. Russell and Colleen Russell. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 19. The future bride is the granddaughter of Bill and Mary Jane Lee of Kingsport, Tenn., and William and Helen Hackett of Painted Post, N.Y. Miss Lee is a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. She is a member of Christ United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Virginia Russell of Nashville. Mr. Russell received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He is a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and is employed as an engineer by TVA.

The engagement of Tami Michelle Poole and Charles Franklin “Chase” Fleming is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Roger and Melanie Poole. The future bride is the granddaughter of Emma Marsh and the late Noel Marsh, Helen Poole and the late Curtis Poole, all of Rockwood, Tenn. Miss Poole is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University. She is a teacher and cheerleading coach at Dalton High School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ingram of Rossville, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Fleming of Dewy Rose, Ga. Mr. Fleming is a graduate of McEachern High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from Carson Newman College. He is a teacher and coach at Ringgold High School.

Rothberger and DeSha

The engagement of Elisabeth Rothberger and Nicholas Scott DeSha is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dave and Marianne Smotherman and Susan and Earl Rothberger Jr. Randy and Sandy DeSha are parents of the prospective bridegroom. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Wedding Chapel. The future bride is the granddaughter of Earl and Betty Rothberger and the late Nic and Helen Knoph of Knoxville. Miss Rothberger is a graduate of Chattanooga Christian School. She attended East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a certified phlebotomist. She is a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, and is a private home care provider. The future bridegroom is the grandson of John and Doris Hurst and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gene DeSha. Mr. DeSha is a graduate of Chattanooga Christian School. He is a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church, and is self-employed.

Jillian Blair Cooper became the bride of Benjamin Michael Mingle in a ceremony on Saturday, June 6, at Central Presbyterian Church in Mobile, Ala. The Rev. Raymond Gene McKenzie performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Cooper of Daphne, Ala. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. William Michael Mingle. Leah Smith Lamphron was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Camilleri, Adrienne Cooper, Raney Cronin, Lindsey Doss, Keri Forsythe, Lee Ann McKenzie and Amanda Wright. Eliana Rain Johnston was the flower girl. Mr. Mingle served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Torrey Bower, Ryan Cooper, Regan Costello, Charles Crabbe, Lucas Lamphron, Christopher Lollar, Jacob Mingle and Joshua Shepherd. Ethan Joshua John was the ring bearer. A reception was held at the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion in Mobile. The couple took a wedding trip to St.Thomas, Virgin Islands. They reside in this city.

She received a bachelor’s degree in special education from Tennessee Technological University. She is a special education teacher at Mount Juliet Middle School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ingram of Lebanon, Tenn., and the late Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Huff Jr. of Henderson, Ky. Mr. Ingram is a graduate of Donelson Christian Academy. He received a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Tennessee Tech. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Mount Juliet, and is a health and physical education teacher.

Mr. Dennis received a bachelor’s degree in health science from Walla Walla University and a master’s degree in physician assisting from Loma Linda University. He is employed as a physician’s assistant.

Sampson performed the ceremony., The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Jennings of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the bridegroom are Kenny Qualls of Rossville, Ga., and Karen Qualls. Tiffany Qualls was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Altman, Julie McMurry, Kyler White and Felicia Thomas. Ava Whited was the flower girl. Mr. Qualls served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Jacob Jennings, Rob Cofer, Travis Horton and Jeff Gilbert. A reception was held at The Grandview. After a wedding trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., the couple will reside in Virginia Beach, Va.
