Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John McClimon of Greer, S.C. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 2, in Greer. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Rikard of Norcross, Ga., Mrs. C.M. Carrier of Chamblee, Ga., and the late Mr. Carrier. Miss Carrier received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Furman University, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota honor society. She received a master’s degree in piano performance from Indiana University and is pursuing a master’s degree in musicology. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Edwin McClimon of Greer, the late Mr. McClimon, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bailey. Mr. McClimon received a bachelor’s degree in music theory from Furman University, where he was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfornia. He is pursuing a master’s degree in music theory from Indiana University.
