The engagement of Ashley Nichole Beddingfield and John Christopher Robinson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Timothy and Joyce Kimbrell of Elkmont, Ala. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dean and Judy Robinson. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 12, in Elkmont. The future bride is the granddaughter of Charles and Annie Goodin, C.D. and Edwina Kimbrell all of Athens, Ala., and the late Ed and Jewel Beddingfield. Miss Beddingfield is a graduate of West Limestone High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Athens State University. She is employed with Southern Dermatology Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Edith Lampley, the late Joe and Mildred Cooley, and the late Gene Robinson. Mr. Robinson is a graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed as a software engineer at Nucor Steel in Decatur, Ala.

The engagement of Ashley Elizabeth Bowman and Adam Roland Cross is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Keith and Michele Bowman. Parents of the future bridegroom are Lynn Cross and David Cross, both of LaGrange, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 17, at East Chattanooga Church of God, where both are members. The future bride is the granddaughter of Marilyn Lowe of Knoxville, the late Alfred G. Lowe Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Bowman. Miss Bowman is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lee University, and is pursuing a master’s degree from Tennessee Technological University. She is a teacher at East Lake Elementary School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Talley, and the Rev. and Mrs. Roland Cross of LaGrange. Mr. Cross is a graduate of Troup County High School, and is owner of Cross Decorative Concrete.

She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as a treasury management sales officer with First Tennessee Bank. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William McManus of Atlanta, Inez Killian of South Pittsburg, and the late Herman “Yap” Killian. Mr. Killian is a graduate of St. Andrew’s Sewanee School. He received a bachelor’s degree in animal science, and a doctorate of veterinary medicine from UTK. He is a veterinarian at Ashland Terrace Animal Hospital.
