Bray and Patrick

The engagement of Lindsey M. Bray and Charles R. Patrick is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Juneau Embry and Steve Richardson of Longview, Texas, and Elizabeth and James Bray of Houston, Texas. Parents of the future bridegroom are Brenda and Kenneth Patrick of Rossville, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 17, in Memphis. The future bride is the granddaughter of Jack Johnson of White Oak, Texas, the late June Johnson, the late Earl Embry, and the late Joveda and Jamie Bray. Miss Bray is a graduate of Pine Tree High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a master’s degree in history from the University of Memphis. She is employed as an administrator for the University of Memphis. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Sarah Patrick, the late Ray Patrick, and the late Evelyn and Charles Jenkins. Mr. Patrick is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rhodes College, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He completed his doctor of jurisprudence at the University of Tennessee School of Law. He is an attorney with Leitner, Williams, Dooley and Napolitan in Memphis.

Clark and DeMeyere

The engagement of Kristen June Clark and Eric Brian DeMeyere is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Schwahn of Martin, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Brian DeMeyere of Virginia Beach, Va., and Pamela Turner of Portsmouth, Va. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 26, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elgie Flowers of Greenfield, Tenn., Barbara Taylor of Bradford, Tenn, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Howard of Dresden, Tenn., and the late Russell Schwahn. Miss Clark is a graduate of Bradford High School. She received a master’s degree in occupational therapy from UTC. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and is an occupational therapist with Erlanger Health Systems. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Stan DeMeyere of Warren, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. David Major of Hot Springs, Ark. Mr. DeMeyere is a graduate of Phoebus High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from UTC, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He is employed as a sales consultant with Freedom Roads.

The engagement of Laura Ashley Davis and Jeffery Allen Smith is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Neal and Cydney Davis. Parents of the future bridegroom are Victor and Edith Smith of Summerville, S.C. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 3, at Pepper Plantation in Awendaw, S.C. The future bride is the daughter of Frank and Jo Smith, the late Carolyn Smith, Helen Davis and the late George Davis. Miss Davis is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the College of Charleston. She is a Spanish teacher at River Oaks Middle School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Doreen Smith of Summerville, the late Carroll Smith and the late Joseph and Marguerite Bryant. Mr. Smith is a graduate of Summerville High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston. He is employed as a contract manager for SSC Service Solutions.

The engagement of Lela Elizabeth Hagan and Kenneth LaBron Spears is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of David and Sue Hagan. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tom and Pat Spears. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 19, at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Scotty and Lela Tinney and the late Dillard and Maxine Hagan. Miss Hagan received a bachelor’s degree in human ecology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota women’s music fraternity. She is a preschool teacher at First-Centenary United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late James and Freida Hall and the late Charles and Catherine Spears. Mr. Spears graduated from Miller-Motte Technical College, where he received certification in massage therapy and as a certified nursing assistant. He is studying respiratory therapy at Chattanooga State Technical Community College. He is a member of Soddy-Daisy First Baptist Church, and is employed by Panera Bread.

She is employed as a school counselor for City Park Elementary School in Dalton. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Felton and Catherine Cochran, and the late Edgar and Ruth Haynes. Mr. Cochran is a graduate of Dalton High School. He is employed as manager and equipment operator for Custom Stone Handlers in Soddy-Daisy.

Parents of the future bridegroom are Judith Ryan Hutcheson and the late Theodore Montague Hutcheson Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 24, at Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, where both are members. The future bride is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Anastasia Luczak, the late Raymond Thomas Luczak Sr., and the late Aloysius Andrew and Marie Ione Petrick, all of Milwaukee, Wis. Miss Petrick received a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical sciences from the University of North Dakota. She is a pilot for AirTran Airways. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Forest Peter Ryan Sr., the late Mr. and Mrs. John LaFayette Hutcheson Jr. and the late Hazel Montague Hutcheson. Mr. Hutcheson is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in French, economics and business administration from King College, and a master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University. He is employed as vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways.

Bridesmaids were Lauren Blackmon, Laura Cooper, Erica Ellis, Maria Hoffman, Beth Ladd, Melody Lowrey, Allyson Raymond and Ashley Steele. McKenna Renee Webster was the flower girl. Mr. Ellis, father of the bridegroom, and Elias Yandell served as best men. Groomsmen were James Bender, William Gailmard, James Hathcock, Jason Maloney, Matthew Mullins, Michael Webster and Scott Webster. Body Grant, Callahan Grant and Cayden Lowrey served as ring bearers.
