Harjes

Laycica Madison Vagos became the bride of Bret Evan Harjes in a ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 16, at Bayside Baptist Church. The Rev. Eric Dill performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Doug and Sherry Crowther. Parents of the future bridegroom are Al and Dee Harjes. Sherry Crowther, mother of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bree Williams, Andrea Spangler, Kavita Thakkar, Brittni Orrison, Callie Riggins, Rebekah Harjes, Caroline Crump and Melissa Masengil. Lydia Werner and Peyton Harjes were flower girls. Mr. Harjes served his son as best man. Groomsmen were B.J. Harjes, Daniel Harjes, River Crowther, Jake Hager, Shane Downey, Kevin Eustice, Phillip Honey and Geoffrey Oliver.

Engagement

Clark and Simmons

The engagement of Logan Brittany Clark and Bradley Logan Simmons is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Clark. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bradley T. Simmons. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 27, in Baylor School Chapel. The future bride is the granddaughter of Roy L. Clark of Kingston, Tenn., the late Virginia Clark, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Garner of Franklin, Tenn. Miss Clark is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor¹s degree in communication, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is employed by Insight Global in Brentwood, Tenn. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Joyce Cofer of Memphis, the late Wendell Cofer, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Simmons of Milan, Tenn. Mr. Simmons is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor¹s degree in international economics from Belmont University. He is a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church, and is employed by TitleMax in Franklin.

Powers and Norman

The engagement of Sarah Powers and Michael Norman is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steve and Sue Powers. Parents of the future bridegroom are Stephen and Clara Ann Norman of Richardson, Texas. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 22, at Saints Peter and Paul Church. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Fred and Christine Powers and the late Edd and Emma Jane Haskew. Miss Powers is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor¹s degree in classics and theater studies from Emory University, and a master¹s degree in theater arts from Cornell University. She is a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Ithaca, N.Y., and is pursuing a doctorate in theater arts at Cornell University. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Tom and Bertha Norman of Richardson, and the late Joe and Lucille Stahl of Waco, Texas. Mr. Norman is a graduate of St. Mark¹s School of Texas. He received a bachelor¹s degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a master¹s degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. He is a member of St. Catherine of Siena, and is pursuing a doctorate in mechanical engineering at Cornell University.

Jessica Sue Bingham became the bride of Dusty Allen Headrick in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Chattanooga Church. The Rev. Morty Lloyd performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Cynthia Bingham. Parents of the bridegroom are Tommy Headrick and Sandy Morgan. Krystal Dobbs was matron of honor. Lacey Blaylock and DeeDee Hobbs were bridesmaids. Hailie Harvey was the flower girl. Wes Morgan served as best man. Jim Martin and Kristie Oldaker were groomsmen. A reception was held at the Dent House. The couple reside in this city.

The engagement of Amber Lee Day and Andrew Ross Erwin is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Lisa Newberry and Randy Day. Parents of the future bridegroom are Gina and Charlie Erwin. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Glenda and Erby Erwin and Patsy and Joe Henderson, all of Rossville, Ga. Mr. Erwin is employed by Southeastern Glass.

Miss Rule graduated from Madison Central High School, and received a bachelor¹s degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Doris B. Phillips of Clyde, N.C., the late Glenn H. Phillips, June I. Wilson of Canton, N.C., and the late Ray Wilson. Mr. Wilson graduated from Baylor School, and received a bachelor¹s degree in industrial technology from Mississippi State.

Noel Pennington performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of David and Janice Davis. Parents of the bridegroom are Darleen Bauer, and Rollin Stapp of Chickamauga, Ga. Julia Wright, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor. Megan Stapp and Courtney Stapp, daughers of the bridegroom, served as bridesmaid and flower girl. Juan Cacicedo served as best man. Connor Watson Stapp, the couple¹s son, was ring bearer. A reception was held at the Station House Restaurant. The couple took a wedding trip to Panama City Beach, Fla.
