Hale and Pitts

The engagement of Jillian Cherie Hale and Matthew Walter Pitts is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes Hale of Rossville. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Walter Pitts of Calhoun, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 28, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Gurney Beard, Opal Hale and the late Roger Hale Sr., all of Rossville. Miss Hale is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College. She is an emergency room nurse at Erlanger Medical Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Betty Black of Dalton, Ga., the late Ralph E. Black, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John William Pitts. Mr. Pitts is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is an educator with Gordon County schools and a wrestling coach at Shorter University.

Hartman and Duckett

The engagement of Sarah Louise Hartman and Brian Richard Duckett is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Julia and Robert Huston and Leighann and John Hartman II of Phoenix, Ariz. The future bridegroom is the son of Karen and Tim Brown and Dean Duckett of Dalzell, S.C. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 14, at Heritage House. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harriet Runyon of Phoenix and Jean Laggi of Gilbert, Ariz. Miss Hartmen graduated from Ooltewah High School and attends attends Chattanooga State Community College. She is a member of Freewill Covenant Baptist Church and is employed in retail. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Rosemary Schoolfield and Scott Schoolfield. Mr. Duckett is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School, and is employed in retail.

Jackson and Delk

The engagement of Kelly Jackson and Kevin Delk is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ronald and Karen Jackson of Pensacola, Fla. Parents of the future bridegroom are Leda and Reiner Beith of Marietta, Ga., and John and Jackie Delk of Yorktown, Va. The wedding is planned for Sunday, Nov. 6. Miss Jackson received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Florida Southern College. She is a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and is an art teacher at Lake Forest Middle School in Cleveland, Tenn. Mr. Delk received a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and is an engineer at Clarity.

Kuhn and Godown

The engagement of Nicole Renee Kuhn and Dr. Justin Andrew Godown is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Nancy and Jerry Kuhn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Laurie and Ron Godown of Hornell, N.Y. The wedding is planned for Sunday, June 12, at Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, N.C. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Esther and Eugene Bell of Gladstone, Mo., and the late Patricia and Lemoin Landau. Miss Kuhn is a graduate of Farragut High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She received a master’s degree in nursing at Duke University. She is employed as a neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioner at the University of North Carolina. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Doris and Larry Godown of Hornell, and the late Joan and Jack Collins. Mr. Godown is a graduate of Alfred Almond Central High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and is currently in his third year of pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital. He has accepted a fellowship at the University of Michigan to study pediatric cardiology.

The engagement of Lindsey Elizabeth Longmire and Christopher Matthew Myers is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of David and Susan Longmire. Parents of the future bridegroom are George and Suzanne Myers of Carmel, Ind. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 7, at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Crowley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Longmire. Miss Longmire is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, magna cum laude, and a masters degree in accountancy from Auburn University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was presented in the 2003 Cotton Ball. She is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, Ala., and is a certified public accountant working as a senior accountant with Altec Capital Services in Birmingham, Ala. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turgi, Jean Myers and the late George Myers Sr. Mr. Myers is a graduate of Daphne High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, summa cum laude, and a masters degree in accountancy, summa cum laude, from Auburn University. He is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and is working as a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Birmingham.

She is a team leader and clinical coordinator at Omnivisions. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jeaneane Payne, the late Herbert Payne, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kontovich of Richmond, Va. Mr. Kontovich received a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from UTC. He is an environmental engineer at Arcadis.

The engagement of April Dyan Roberts and Robert Caleb Collier is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Tom and Peggy Roberts of Pikeville, Tenn. Mr. Collier received a bachelor’s degree in physical education and wellness from Tennessee Technological University. He is a member of Bethel Church of Christ and is a teacher and football coach at Boyd Buchanan School.

Riddell and Nunley

Robin Jay Riddell became the bride of Kerry Matthew Nunley in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 16, at Christ United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wallace T. Bell performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Jamie Riddell. Parents of the bridegroom are Emaline Nunley and Nick Nunley of Dayton, Tenn. Veronica Benear was maid of honor. LeaAnne Spradlen was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Bennett, Jade Michael and Rachel Riddell. Ashlee Riddell was the flower girl. Lance Nunley served as best man. Groomsmen were Darik Dawes, Anthony Hensley, Jamie Parris and Jason Riddell. Caleb Nunley and Isaac Nunley were ring bearers. A reception was held at the Doubletree Hotel. The couple went on a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They reside in this city.
