Engagement

Collins and Vaughn

The engagement of Kari Susanne Collins and Mika Anthony Vaughn Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jackie and John Henegar of Ringgold, Ga., and Bill Collins Jr. of Cleveland, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Kathy and Mika Vaughn Sr. of Cleveland. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 7, at The Church at Grace Point in Cleveland, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Collins of Cleveland, and Don Henegar of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Miss Collins is a graduate of East Ridge High School. She received an associate’s degree in science from Cleveland State Community College. She is pursuing a degree in secondary education at Dalton State College. She is assistant basketball coach at East Ridge High School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Rosetta and A.J. Vaughn of Cleveland. Mr. Vaughn is a graduate of Riverdale High School. He received a degree in fire science from Cleveland State Community College. He is a Bradley County fireman.

Goodlet and Blankenship

The engagement of Kristina Elaine Goodlet and James Barret Blankenship is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Chris and Patti Goodlet of Chickamauga, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Greg and Tina Gent of Ringgold, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 26, at the Fillauer lake house in Cleveland, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marvin and Connie Bradford and Mickey and Jewel Goodlet-Liner, all of Ringgold. Miss Goodlet received a bachelor’s degree in human development from Lee University. She is a member of Parkway Baptist Church and is employed by TVA. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Arvil and Charlsie Dempsey of Ringgold. The engagement of Farosha Loyde and Randal Lee is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of James and Beverly Loyde Jr. of Memphis. . Parents of the future bridegroom are Marvin Lee and State Rep. JoAnne H. Favors. The wedding is planned for Friday, March 3, 2012. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Edna Loyde Sr. and the late Jimmie and Inez Jeter. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Brittie J. Ervin, the late Joseph Humphries and the late Charlie and Eva M. Lee.

Amber Dawn Boozer became the bride of Brian Keith Rose in a ceremony on Friday, Dec. 31, at Talon Winery in Lexington, Ky. The bride is the daughter of Sam and Jane Boozer and Kim Cunigan of Jacksonville, Ala. Parents of the bridegroom are Lisa Hughes of Carrollton, Ky., and the late Tommy Rose. The bride is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and is employed as an accountant by Dulworth, Breeding, Karns Pleasants in Lexington. Mr. Rose received a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics from the University of Kentucky. The couple resides in Lexington, after a wedding trip to Jamaica.

Melissa Kay Cranfill became the bride of Michael David Young in a ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas. The Rev. Joseph W. Bird performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Peggy Frazier Sanchz of Immakalee, Fla. The bridegroom is the son of David E.Young. A reception was held at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. After a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., the couple reside in this city.

She is pursuing a degree in cosmetology at Chattanooga State Community College. She is employed as a direct support professional by Orange Grove Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Walter Adkins Sr. and the late Mildred Adkins. Mr. Adkins is a graduate of Tyner High School. He is pursuing a degree in business management at Chattanooga State. He is employed in advertising and sales by T-Mobile.

The engagement of Jennifer Harrison Tyner and Adam Prillaman Holt is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tyner. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Holt of Franklin, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 2, in Cape San Blas, Fla. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Helen Bernard of Connelly Springs, N.C., the late Bobby Bernard, and Pauline and Kenneth Tyner of Eden, N.C. Miss Tyner is a graduate of Baylor School. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Tennessee Technological University. She is a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Arnold Prillaman of Martinsville, Va., the late Georgia Prillaman, and the late Clarence and Josephine Holt Sr.. Mr. Holt is a graduate of Centennial High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in physics from Tennessee Tech and is currently attending the graduate program in physics at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church.

Smith and Johnston

Jamie LeAnn Smith became the bride of Anthony Wayne Johnston in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 16, at Chester Frost Park. The Rev. Matt Hastings performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Eva Jo Smith. Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Sharon Johnston. Regina Rollins was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Winn, Erin Gray, Crystal Birch and Kenna Rominger. Caitlyn Birch and Lauren Gray were flower girls. Mr. Johnston served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Winn, Keith Gray, Clint Birch and Todd Trotter. Cole Rominger and Luke Rominger were ring bearers. Nick Weathers was the usher. A reception was held at Chester Frost Park. The couple took a wedding trip to France, Switzerland, Germany and Holland. They reside in this city.
