Cain and Johnson
The engagement of Elizabeth Cain and Joshua Ryan Johnson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Glenn Cain of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Allen Stanton Johnson Jr. of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. The wedding is planned for Sunday, May 28, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Byron Austin III and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Glenn Cain of Bladenboro, N.C. Miss Cain received a degree in art from Covenant College. The future bridegoom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clingan and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Stanton Johnson of Rossville, Ga. Mr. Johnson plans to receive a degree in interdisciplinary studies in May from Covenant College.
Gagliardi and Harding
The engagement of Natalie Collyn Gagliardi and Joel James Harding is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter D. Gagliardi of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Kent W. Harding of Doniphan, Mo. The wedding is planned for Friday, March 11, at Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. McIntosh of Ringgold, Margaret Gagliardi and the late Joseph F. Gagliardi. Miss Gagliardi received a certificate in surgical technology from Chattanooga State Community College. She is employed as a surgical technologist. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Paul Fleetwood of Doniphan, the late Shirley Fleetwood, and Mr. and Mrs. James Harding of St. Charles, Mo. A graduate of American School, Mr. Harding is employed by Briggs and Stratton and is a member of Sovereign Grace Reformed Church.
DeWitt and Wood
Krista Leigh DeWitt became the bride of Robert Jordan Wood in a ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 21, at High Hampton Inn and Country Club in Cashiers, N.C. The Rev. Canon R. Craig Smalley performed the ceremony. The bride is the daugher of Dr. and Mrs. William Eugene DeWitt of Birmingham, Ala. . Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Charles Wood Jr. Kellie DeWitt Templin and Kandace Brooke DeWitt DeBolt, sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Hannah Elizabeth Coggin, Jane Bowry Hoerner, Hennessy Ann Howell, Jennifer Sirmon Peters, Anne Rain Tanner, Margaret Hadley Wharton and Dayna Rae Word. Isabella Harper Hall was the flower girl. Joshua Bryan Wood served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew James Beckmann, Michael Alan Burke, Samuel Brandon Couillard, John Lee Goetz, Chase Edward Scott and Brandon Edwin Tindell. Junior groomsmen were William Isaac Hall and Jacob William Templin. Braxton Autry Templin and Charles Patrick Wood were ring bearers. A reception was held at High Hampton Inn and Country Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Barcelona, Spain, and Collioure, France. They reside in Birmingham.
Hildebrand and Pitts
The engagement of Jessica Dawn Hildebrand and 2nd Lt. Ryan Austin Pitts is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Stan and Dawn Hildebrand. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mark and Nancy Pitts of Sierra Vista, Ariz. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 2, at Signal Mountain Baptist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Arnold and Alda Hildebrand of Stafford, Kan., and the late Keith Louise McCarver. Miss Hildebrand is a graduate of Baylor School. She plans to receive a bachelor’s degree in management in May from the United States Air Force Academy. After graduation, she will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and as a financial management officer. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Joe and Maydell Saughter and Bob and Jane Pitts, all of Sierra Vista. Lt. Pitts is a graduate of Buena High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering space from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is a member of Village Meadows Baptist Church and is an Air Force pilot.
Willerton and Hawk
The engagement of Savanna Leigh Willerton and Jacob Samuel Hawk is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Suzanne and Jeff Willerton of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Robin and Larry Hawk of Powder Springs, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 21, at Campus View Church of Christ in Athens, Ga., where both are members The future bride is the granddaughter of Ernestine Quinn of Rossville, Ga., the late J.R. Quinn, and the late Kathryn and James Willerton. Miss Willerton is a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. She is pursuing a degree in family and consumer science at the University of Georgia. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Joyce and Jimmy Marquis of Marietta, Ga., and the late Vivian and Virgil Hawk. Mr. Hawk graduated from McEachern High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Georgia. He is employed by Classic City Reality.

Shannon Nichole Tate became the bride of Calvin Earl Dennis in a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 17, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The Rev. Garland Black performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Fredrick Tate. Parents of the bridegroom are Calvin Dennis and Debra Arnold of Hernando, Miss. Mrs. Tate served her daughter as matron of honor. Allan Tate II served his brother as best man. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, a reception was held in Tunica, Miss. The couple reside in LaVergne, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Brian and Ann Shutters. Parents of the bridegroom are Sib and Alice Evans. Lindsey Pearse was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Maggie Shutters, Emory Evans, Kelly Thompson, Lauren Richie and Laura Levan. Mr. Evans served his son as best man. The future bridegoom is the grandson of the late Carter and Mary Langston and the late Matt and Dorothy Broom Mr. Langston received a degree in drafting from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. He is a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church and is employed as a technical consultant by Sterling Communications in Ringgold.
