Lawson and Whitener
The engagement of Amy Lee Lawson and Daniel L. Whitener is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Rhonda Lawson. Parents of the future bridegroom are Danny and Marianne Whitener of McDonald, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Feb. 5, at Redemption Point Church, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of R.L. and Melba Stallard of Ringgold, Ga. Miss Lawson is a graduate of Dade County High School. She received a bachelor's degree in K-8 education from Dalton State College. She is pursuing a master's degree in technology education at Western Governors University. She is a teacher at Chatsworth Elementary School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dan and Billie Ruth Whitener of McDonald, Tenn., Ledford Cook and the late Ivalene Cook. Mr. Whitener is a graduate of Bradley Central High School. He received a bachelor's degree in surveying and mapping from East Tennessee State University. He is employed by LJT Steel.
Verda and Ferry
The engagement of Jessica Nicole Verda and Noah Louis Ferry is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steve Pande and Michelle Bradley of Dayton, Tenn., and Anthony Verda of Dunlap, Tenn. The future bridegroom is the son of Kimberly Hudson of Clarkrange, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 21. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Kathy Halas and the late Buddy and Jeannie Bradley. Miss Verda is pursuing a degree in radiology at Chattanooga State Community College. She is employed by Glitz & Gowns Bridal Boutique. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Linda and Gerald Raulston of Grimsley, Tenn., and Bill and Gail Wilkey of Rockwood, Tenn. Mr. Ferry is serving in the United States Navy.
Haapanen and Baker
Saara Ann-Stiina Haapanen became the bride of Brent Sargent Baker in a ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 12, in Kauai Beach, Hawaii. The bride is the daughter of Ken and Mervi Haapanen of Ontario, Canada. Parents of the bridegroom are Robin and Sally Baker.
Rosenvinge and Carr
Hannah Magdalena Rosenvinge became the bride of Steven Matthew Carr in a ceremony on Friday, Dec. 17, at Fairyland Club. Ken Dugan performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Marian Jo Rosenvinge. Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Casey Carr. Breanna Metcalf was maid of honor. Nikki Carr and Samantha Metcalf were bridesmaids. Hannah Mathews and Taylor Trogdon were flower girls. Mr. Carr served his son as best man. Chris Carr and Bill Bruning were groomsmen. A reception was held at Fairyland Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico.
Fogleman and Bays
Erin Kay Fogleman became the bride of Nathaniel Martin Bays III in a ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 23, at Salem United Methodist Church in Blountville, Tenn. The Rev. Scott Caldwell performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Keith and Brenda Fogleman of Madison, Miss. Parents of the bridegroom are N.M. and Pam Bays Jr. of Johnson City, Tenn. Jessica Mankin was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Sangid, Mary Woodside, Megan Brazill, Jen Zdroik and Lindsay Short. Mr. Bays served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Brett Paduch, Jared Fogleman, Jonathan Godfrey, Adam Terry and Scott Gentry. A reception was held at The Virginian in Bristol, Va. The couple took a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands. They reside in Arlington, Va.
