Catoe and Burley

The engagement of Karen Elizabeth Catoe and Matthew Timothy Burley Swafford is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Linda Catoe. Parents of the future bridegroom are Donald and Diane Swafford of Birchwood, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 6, at Grace Baptist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of William and Geneva Catoe of Rock Hill, S.C., the late Jimmy Catoe of Lancaster, S.C., and the late Kathleen McGraw. Miss Catoe is a graduate of Gateway Christian Schools. She received a bachelor’s degree in piano from Moody Bible Institute. She is self-employed. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Kenneth and Peggy McCallie of Birchwood, Kathryn Swafford of Athens, Tenn., and the late Burley Swafford. Mr. Swafford is a graduate of Central High School. He received an associate’s degree in landscape and turf management from Chattanooga State Community College. He is a member of Greenwood Baptist Church, and is employed with TruGreen Lawncare.

Lynn and Denton

The engagement of Tabatha Lynn Estermyer and Ronnie Lee Denton is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ronald and Brenda Estermyer of Ringold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Ronald Denton and Dana Kyle of Chickamauga, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 30, at First Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Emma Estermyer of Ringgold, the late David Estermyer, and Jack and MaryEllen Pumphrey of New Castle, Pa. Miss Estermyer is a graduate of Ringgold High School. She completed a licensed practical nursing program at Dalton State College. She is employed by Hutcheson Medical Center, and is a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dorothy Denton of Chickamauga, the late Ervin Denton, and the late Rose and John Coe. Mr. Denton is a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. He received an associate’s degree in computer networking from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. He is employed as a technician by Trenton Telephone Co., and is a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.

The engagement of Jessica Danielle Hall and Daniel Mark Trogdon is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Rick and Cheryl Hall. Parents of the future bridegroom are Harold and Cathy Trogdon of Smithfield, N.C. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 9. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Earl and Eleanor Williams and the Rev. Gene and Carol Hall. Miss Hall is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. She received an associate’s degree in elementary education from Lee University, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Sorority. She is a member of North River Church of Christian and Missionary Alliance, and is a teacher at Silverdale Baptist Academy. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Nancy Trogdon of Smithfield, the late Thomas Trogdon, Ray Tedder of Selma, N.C., and the late Nell Tedder. Mr. Trogdon is a graduate of Smithfield Selma High School. He is pursuing a business degree at Lee University, where he is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity. He is a member of South Cleveland Church of God.
