Braswell and Harper

The engagement of Melissa Mary Braswell and Nathan Kent Harper is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of William and Gloria Braswell of Hendersonville, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Robin and Susan Harper. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 10, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Gloria Morris of Palm Bay, Fla., Margaret Braswell of Melbourne, Fla., and the late James P. Braswell. Miss Braswell received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is employed as an account executive with AREA203 Digital. The future bridegroom is the grandson of John and Patricia Switzer of McDonald, Tenn., and the late Walter and Jeannine Harper. Mr. Harper received a bachelor’s degree in business management from UTC. He is employed as a logistics coordinator with Access America Transport.

The engagement of Casey Lucille Burks and Sean Morgan Kennedy is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Clyde Burks of Fosters, Ala. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Glenn Kennedy. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 30, at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Margaret McCrary Reed of Winfield, Ala., the late Edwin Webster Reed, the late Clyde Ermal Burks and the late Carrie Vickery Burks. Miss Burks received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from the University of Alabama. She is employed as a project management specialist with Schneider Electric USA Inc. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Christine Heathcock Kennedy, the late Norman Douglas Kennedy, William Elijah Weathersby and the late Betty Covert Weathersby, all of Oak Ridge. Mr. Kennedy received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed as a financial analyst.

The engagement of Kristy Lee Gaskey and Corey Ellison Fielding is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ruben and Ann Gaskey of LaFayette, Ga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Reba Beagles of Chickamauga, the late Herman Beagles, and the late Knowlton and Dorothy Kay. Miss Kay is a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. She is a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and is employed as a benefits administrator by Encompass Digital Medac in Atlanta. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Benny Cross of Chickamauga, the late Wanda Cross, the late Hubert Henson and the late William and Bonnie Greason. Mr. Cross is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is employed as a project engineer with C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. in Marietta, Ga.

She is he great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vance Miller. Miss Massengill graduated from Arab High School and attended Jacksonville State University. She is pursuing a degree in elementary education at Auburn University, where she is a member of Alpha Omicron Sorority. She is employed by Private Gallery. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jones and Patricia Chandler, all of Guntersville. Mr. Chandler is a graduate of Guntersville High School. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Linda Bird Wright and the late Walter L. Wright III. Parents of the bridegroom are Lyle and Michaelene Crawford of Wellston, Mich. Kelly Ann Stanley was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith MaGuirk and Stephanie Stanfield, sisters of the bride; Victoria Crawford, sister of the bridegroom; and Jennifer Baker. Hannah Crawford was the junior bridesmaid. Claire Elizabeth Stanfield was the flower girl. Jacob Crawford served his brother as best man.
