The engagement of Shoni Fugate and Josey Cooper is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Lance and Suzanne Fugate of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Wendall and Patti Cooper. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 3, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ringgold, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Buddy and BarbraFugate of Ringgold, Spence and Jackie Harris of Knoxville, the late Glynda Sue Fugate and the late Joyce Anne Harris. Miss Fugate is a graduate of Ringgold High School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Homer and Pat Wilson of Ringgold, Glenda Adams, the late Charles Adams, Relma Cooper and the late Homer Cooper. Mr. Cooper is a graduate of Ringgold High School.

LaBounty and Spurlock

The engagement of Kathryn Anne LaBounty and Tyler Jacob Spurlock is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mick and Paula LaBounty of Bristol, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tracy Spurlock of Dalton, Ga., and Lisa Spurlock. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 27, at Second Presbyterian Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Paul and Phyllis Morrell, Stella LaBounty and the late George LaBounty, all of Bristol. Miss LaBounty received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as an admissions counselor at ITT Technical Institute. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jame and Teresa Beach, Maxine Spurlock and the late Jimmy Spurlock. Mr. Spurlock received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UTC. He is employed by Fedex Express.

The engagement of Heather Dawn Lyons and Paul Christopher Bevil is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Randy and LaVonda Lyons. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dick and Laura Bevil. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Mayor’s Mansion Inn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of S.J. and Mary Davis. Miss Lyons attended Lee University. She is a member of Abba’s House and is a commercial real estate broker with KW Commercial. Mr. Lyons attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a member of Abba’s House and is employed as service lane manager by Infiniti of Chattanooga.

The engagement of Monica Gail Stevens and Ryan Michael Friedrich is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steve and Kathy Stevens of Kimball, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mike and Cherie Friedrich of Guild, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 20, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John and Nannie B. Hogan and the late Calvin and Nellie Stevens. Miss Stevens is a graduate of South Pittsburg High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as a recruiter for TVA. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Betty Pargeon of Vaughnsville, Ohio, the late Don Pargeon, Mordy and Shirley Moorman of Columbus Grove, Ohio, and the late Paul Friedrich. Mr. Friedrich is a graduate of Marion County High School and attended Chattanooga State Community College. He is a fleet manager at Covenant Transport.

She received a bachelor’s degree in music education from Tennessee Technological University. She is a member of Clearcreek Church of Christ, and is a music teacher at Boyd Buchanan School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Stevens Crowe, the late Verna Ruth Crowe, Maxine Daniels of Dayton, and the late Buddy Daniels. Mr. Daniels is a graduate of Rhea County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in music education from Tennessee Tech University. He is the music instructor at Rhea Family YMCA and drumline instructor for Rhea County High School band.
