Atterton and Holloway

The engagement of Jessica Nicole Atterton and James Kyle Holloway is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Kenny and Tonya Atterton and the late Angel Atterton, all of Whitwell, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are James A. and Kathy Holloway of Whitwell. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 9, at Crossroads Baptist Church, where the future bridegroom is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Paul and Gladys Atterton and Doris Williams, all of Whitwell. Miss Atterton is a graduate of Whitwell High School. She is pursuing a degree in elementary education at Tennessee Technological University. She is employed by the city of Whitwell. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Naomi Holloway, the late James H. Holloway, Myrtle Kimsey and the late Hugh E. Vandergriff, all of Whitwell. Mr. Holloway is a graduate of Whitwell High School. He received an associate’s degree in general management from Chattanooga State Community College. He is employed by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

Hannah and Willis

The engagement of Karen Elaine Hannah and David Paul Willis is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Gene and Frances Collins of Ringgold, Ga., and the late Kenneth B. Hannah. Parents of the future bridegroom are the late Clifton and Pearl Willis. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 26, at First Baptist Church in Ringgold. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wiggins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hannah Sr. The future bride is a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church and is employed as a media specialist by Catoosa County Schools. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hollingsworth of Dyersburg, Tenn., and the late Lillian Hill. Mr. Willis is employed by PPS Pharmacy.

The engagement of Lisa Diane Hoffman and Robert Kirk Walker III is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Robin Hoffmann and Vincent Siravo and the late Dr. William Hoffmann of Newport, R.I. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dr. and Mrs. Robert Kirk Walker Jr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 4, at The Inn at Castle Hill in Newport. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Zuckerman, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffmann. Miss Hoffmann is a graduate of Portsmouth Abbey High School. She received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Georgetown University. She is employed as a recruitment director with Teach for America. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirk Walker Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Palmore. Mr. Walker graduated from McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. He is a law student at the University of California.

The engagement of Noel Christine Kahl and Robert Stewart Reagan is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dave and Bonnie Kahl of Sioux Falls, S.D. Parents of the future bridegroom are Robert and Teresa Reagan. The wedding is planned for Friday, April 15, in the Chapel of Reconciliation on the campus of Augustana College in Sioux Falls. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Vernie Kahl of Inwood, Iowa, the late Agnes Kahl, the late Norman Serr and the late Jean Karris. Miss Kahl is a graduate of Park High School. She received bachelor’s degrees in religion and special education from Augustana College, and a master’s degree in children, youth and family ministry from Lutheran Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Knoxville, where she is associate minister. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Alan and Lunette Stewart of Southside, Ala., Peggy Reagan and the late Howard K. Reagan of Moody, Ala. Mr. Reagan is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Duke University. He is a member of Faith Lutheran Church and is owner of Iron Horse Software.

She received a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Central Florida, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was presented in the 2002 Cotton Ball. She is a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and is employed as director of undergraduate reunion at Vanderbilt University. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn T. Davidson, the late Rev. and Mrs. Paul L. Sartorio. Mr. Sartoris is a graduate of St. Christopher’s School. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University. He plans to receive a master’s degree in business administration in May from Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and will be employed by Deloitte Consulting. He is a member of St. Mary’s Protestant Episcopal Church in Richmond.

Mr. Hindman is a graduate of Chattanooga Christian School. He received a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Lee University. Audrey Elizabeth Griggs became the bride of Marcello Mitchel Alves in a ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 29, at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Dr. J. Render Caines performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mark and Beth Griggs. Parents of the bridegroom are the Rev. and Mrs. Anselmo Alves and Mary Diane Abilhoa, all of Curitiba, Brazil. Andrea Griggs, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Blakely Barnett, Katherine Cooper, Katherine Lee Griggs, Sarah Grimes, Brittney Owens, Lucy Phillips and Jennifer Redman. Daisy Bowman, Ellie Bowman, Olivia Griggs and Sophia Griggs were flower girls. Mr. Alves served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Tony Cruz, Eric Griggs, John Mark Griggs, Edson Munekata, Brian Parker and Logan Wells. Ushers were Randall Ausdran and David Wilson. A reception was held at the Fairyland Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Miami, Fla. They reside in Virginia Beach, Va.

Kara Joy Hellenberg became the bride of Kevin Timothy Haag in a ceremony on Sunday, Dec.19, at McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Rev. Greg King performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Frederick and Carol Hellenberg of Dixfield, Maine. Parents of the bridegroom are Lester and Lorey Haag. Heather Brownell was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Blair Otis, Martha Meyer, Lizzie Dias, Cheyenne Stewart and Jill Schaeffer. Ryan Haag served as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Otis, Brett Schaeffer, Tyler Thornton, Kevin Orrison and Kris Orrison. A reception was held in the Fireside Room. The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica. They reside in Colton, Calif.
