The engagement of Kendra Elizabeth Burton and Brandon Jamison Keith is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of David and Patsy Burton of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Michael and Tena Keith of Flintstone, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 19, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Willie and Essie Hesson and the late Clyde and Ruby Vinson. Miss Burton is a graduate of Red Boiling Springs High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in human ecology from Tennessee Technological University. She is employed as a counselor. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Eloise Keith, the late Melvin Keith, Peggie Wright and the late H.M. Wright. Mr. Keith is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in turf management from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He is employed in construction.

The engagement of Amy Dawn Dennis and Donald Jay Scott IV is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Dennis and the late Charlotte Morrow Dennis. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jay Scott III of Syracuse, N.Y., and the late Lynnette Hopkinson Ladd. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 28, at Outer Banks, N.C. Ms. Dennis received a degree in human resources from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed by Unum. Mr. Scott received a degree in computer electronics from ITT. He is regional sales manager at GMD Inc.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of William Hassell of Rossville, Ga., the late Mary Hassell, Ellen Ortwein of Rossville and the late William Ortwein Sr. Mr. Ortwein is a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in music from Georgia Southern University, where he was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. He is a member of East Ridge United Methodist Church.
