Blevins and Collins

The engagement of Alicia Ann Blevins and Mark Andrew Collins is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Austin and Judy Blevins of Jasper, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dr. John A. and Mary Collins of Henderson, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 21, at Concord Road Church of Christ in Brentwood, Tenn., where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John W. and Ruth Blevins and the late Robert S. and Lorene Glover. Miss Blevins received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a master’s degree in health informatics and information management from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She is a senior practice leader at Hospital Corporation of America in Nashville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Sid and Effie Collins and the late Carley and Electra Orick. Mr. Collins received a bachelor’s degree in business from Freed Hardeman University. He is a legislative auditor for the state of Tennessee.

Culbreath and Smith

The engagement of Elizabeth Claire Culbreath and Gordon Laidlaw Smith IV is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Molly Culbreath of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and the late Dr. George Lewis Culbreath Jr. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dr. Christine Smith and Gordon L. Smith III. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug.13, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church., The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. George Lewis Culbreath Sr. of Trenton, Tenn., the late Syble Vawter Culbreath, Florence Tipton Schultz of Dyersburg, Tenn., and the late Marvin Bernard Schultz Sr. Miss Culbreath is a graduate of Riverdale High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Middle Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a nurse practitioner for Cardiovascular services at Erlanger Medical Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon L. Smith Jr., Alice Wilson Benz and the late William George Benz Jr. Mr. Smith is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in building science from Auburn University. He is pursuing a master’s degree in engineering management at UTC.

The engagement of Annie Eluned Hale and James Raymond Swansbrough is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wayne Hale. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Macris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Swansbrough. Mr. Swansbrough is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Davidson College and a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of the South at Sewanee. He attends Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

The engagement of Jennifer Elizabeth Hunt and Matthew Stephen Wild is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Bonnie Sue Hunt and the late Jeffery Preston Hunt. She received an associate’s degree in health information management from Chattanooga State Community College. She is a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and is a physician coder and auditor at Erlanger Medical Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Maxwell Brannan, Judy Wild of Panama City Beach, Fla., and the late Stephen Wild. Mr. Wild is a graduate of Red Bank High School. He is a member of White Oak Baptist Church and is employed by Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

Mr. DeLay received a bachelor’s degree in social science education from the University of Georgia. He is a teacher and coach at Franklin County High School in Carnesville, Ga.

Krystal Nichole Stone became the bride of William Paul Bankston in a ceremony on Saturday, March 5, at Hickory Valley Community Church. The bride’s father performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Duke and Shirlene Stone. Parents of the bridegroom are James and Jackie Bankston of Fort Oglethorpe. Amy Autry was matron of honor. Jennifer Smith and Ceren Stone were bridesmaids. Isabella Stone, daughter of the bride, and Brooklyn Stone, were flower girls. Josh Bankston served his father as best man. Groomsmen were Jamie Bankston and John Cate. A reception was held at the church. The couple took a wedding trip to Sapphire Valley, N.C. They reside in this city.
