Ankar and Shepperd

The engagement of Lona Marie Ankar and Bradley Michael Shepperd is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ankar. Parents of the future bridegroom are Catherine Nolte of Savanna, Ill., and Linwood Shepperd of Clovis, Calif. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 11, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where the bride-elect is a member. Miss Ankar received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting at Mercer University, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She is employed as an institutional specialist by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Shepperd is serving in the United States Army.

Arendale and Mehaffey

The engagement of Madison Kay Arendale and Jeremy Lee Mehaffey is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of David and Cindi Arendale. Parents of he future bridegroom are Donald and Elaine Mehaffey of Crawfordsville, Ind. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 4, at Camp Dixie. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Herman and Jo Arendale and Shirley Combs. Miss Arendale is a graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School. She received a nursing degree from Lipscomb University. She is a member of Mountain Creek Church of Christ. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Everett and Pat Scrimshire of San Antonio, Texas, Dorothy Mehaffey of West Palm Beach, Fla., and the late Robert Mehaffey. Mr. Mehaffey received a bachelor’s degree in information systems applications from Lipscomb University, where he was a member of Delta Nu Fraternity. He is a member of Tusculum Church of Christ and is owner of Mehaffey Technologies.

She received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is pursuing a master’s degree in counseling at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a graduate assistant at UTC. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ida Pryor, the late Walter Pryor, the late Bea Venable and the late Ray Callaway. Mr. Callaway is a graduate of Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UTC. He is employed as a mechanical engineer.

Miss Bradley is a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. She attended Dalton State College and is pursuing an associate’s degree in dental hygiene at Chattanooga State Community College. She is a member of Silverdale Baptist Church, and is employed as an accounting assistant by Mortgage South. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Grady and Nell Massingill of Ringgold, Rita Johnson, the late Ronnie Johnson, Christopher “Sonny” and Linda Thomas of Jasper, Tenn. Mr. Massingill is a graduate of McCallie School. He is pursuing a business degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church, and is employed at Industrial Boiler and Mechanical Co.
