Engagement

Rae and Cline

The engagement of Courtney Rae Higdon and Eric Daniel Cline is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary R. Higdon of Etowah, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bobby K. Cline. The wedding is planned for Sunday, Jan. 1, at Brookhill Baptist Church in Etowah. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy T. Smith of Jamestown, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Higdon Jr. Miss Higdon is a graduate of McMinn Central High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in human ecology, cum laude, from Tennessee Technological University. She is a member of Hixson First Baptist Church aid is a preschool teacher. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late William E. Belvin Jr., the late Leona D. Belvin, Mrs. Bobby B. Cline and the late Mr. Cline. Mr. Cline is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Tennessee Tech. He is a member of New Salem Baptist Church and is employed as a manufacturing engineer.

Couch and Coley

The engagement of Tabitha Couch and James Coley is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Terry Daniels of Rossville and the late Bruce Hampton. Parents of the future bridegroom are Carol Coley and the late Edward Coley. The wedding is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 20. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Raymond Harrington, Crystal Miller, the late Kotha Bowles and the late George Hampton. Ms. Couch is a graduate of Harrison Bay Vocational Center and is a member of Denny Hill Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dorothy Clowes and the late Elmer Clowes. Mr. Clowes is a graduate of Tyner High School and is a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.

Sherri Sneed became the bride of Daniel Thurman II in a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11, at Abba’s House. The Rev. Ron Phillips Jr. performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Larry and Mary Sneed. Parents of the bridegroom are Danny Thurman and Donna Faye Davy. After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in this city.

Baker and Cartwright

Laura Elizabeth Baker became the bride of Nathan Cartwright in a ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Mountain Oaks Wedding Chapel. The Rev. Richard Baker performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Eugene and Alyese Baker. Parents of the bridegroom are Jerry and Cathy Cartwright. Ashley Baker was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jacqueline Hardin, Christie Catchings, Rachel Hatch and Kim Prueitt. Gen Stevens and Lexi Stevens were flower girls. Matthew Cartwright served his father as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Hardin, Chris Bruce, Eric Qualls, Daniel Harden and Thad Robards. Brison Cartwright was ring bearer. A reception was held at Providence Baptist Church. After a wedding cruise to the Bahama Islands, the couple resides in Birchwood, Tenn.

Tiffany Rose Lynn became the bride of Matthew John Cecotti in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church in Chickamauga, Ga. The Rev. Larry Summerour performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Charles and Susan Lynn. Parents of the bridegroom are Patricia Cecotti of Chickamauga and Russell Cecotti of Flintstone, Ga. Joanna Solberg, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Erin Cecotti, Crickett Cecotti and Stephanie Gordon were bridesmaids. Caitlin Cecotti was the flower girl. Robert Gordon acted as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Cecotti, Christian Cecotti, Michael Bergheimer and Andy Cross. Jackson Gordon was ring bearer. Justin Lynn, Todd Lynn and David Lynn were ushers. A reception was held at the church. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in this city.

Lauren Nolan Glascock, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Caroline Beard Arnold, Sarah Howell Baker, Sara Kate Greene, Molli Hays, Caroline Jones, Mary Elizabeth King, Jennie Evans Ridley, Susanne Stacy Teegarden and Laura Logan Wilburn. Katie Geismar and Colleen Forsyth were readers. Grayson Perry was the flower girl. Mr. Jones served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Burger, Clint Feher, Henry Glascock, Peterson Hostetler, Alan Lloyd, Daniel McNair, Robert Parks and Tommy Parks. Hank Glascock was ring bearer. A reception was held at Brow Lake Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C. They reside in this city.
