Engagement

Harvey and Milford

The engagement of Caroline Harvey and Jon David Milford is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Philip and Patricia Harvey. Parents of the future bridegroom are Cindy Milford of Hartwell, Ga., and the late Jon David Milford. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 19, at Northside Presbyterian Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Sherwood and Lula Green and the late Philip and Beverly Harvey. Miss Harvey received a bachelor’s degree in human ecology and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is a medical social worker at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Charlotte Milford of Hartwell, the late Hubert Milford and the late Jack and Kathleen Greene. Mr. Milford received a bachelor’s degree in management and information sciences from Gardner Webb University, and a master’s degree in accounting from Stetson University. He is employed by the law firm of Finklestien, Kern, Steinberg and Cunningham, and is a member of First Baptist Church in Hartwell.

Hughes and Mauer

The engagement of Amanda Carol Hughes and Charles “Cole” Mauer is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Robert and Julie Hughes. Parents of the future bridegroom are Erich and Bobbie Mauer of Roanoke, Va. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 19, at Maple Grove Inn in Knoxville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bruce and Betty Hughes and the late Mary Brown. Miss Hughes received a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is a sales executive for Nashville Office Interiors Knoxville branch, and is a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Charles and Joann Mauer of Frankfort, Ky., and late Charles and Gloria Davis. Mr. Mauer received a bachelor’s degree in communications from UTK. He is a social media specialist for The Tombras Group in Knoxville, and a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church.

Meachum and Wright

The engagement of Brandi Elise Meachum and Winston Wesley Wright is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Elizabeth Meachum of Thompsonville, Mich. Parents of the future bridegroom are William and Linda Wright. A June wedding is planned in Thompsonville. Miss Meachum is a certified nursing assistant. She is a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mr. Wright is an emergency medical technician. He is a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

White and Derryberry

The engagement of Holly Beth White and Dakota Derryberry is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Charles and Tami White of Chickamauga, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Patsy Derryberry of Chickamauga, and the late Jerry Derryberry. The wedding is planned for Sunday, June 24, at General Woods Inn in Rising Fawn, Ga. Miss White is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. She received a degree in dental assisting from Chattanooga State Community College. She is a dental assistant. Mr. Derryberry is employed by Volkswagen of Chattanooga.

Nikki Bandy became the bride of Matt Barrett in a ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Christ Community Church in Dalton, Ga. The Rev. Matt Evans performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Gary and Donna Bandy of Tunnel Hill, Ga. Parents of the bridegroom are Alan and Jackie Franks and Jack and Carla Barrett. Tama Ledford was the bride’s honor attendant. Sydney Ledford and Charlotte Ledford were flower girls. Alan Franks served as best man. A reception was held at Rock Bridge Community Church in Dalton. After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple resides in Dalton.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Tina Chastain. Parents of the bridegroom are Randy Wilson of Rossville and Linda and Roger Wallisch. Bailee Chastain, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Conner, Whitney Alley, Amy Flengas, Lauren Mitchell and Andrea Anderson. Rowan Fagan and Tillie Massengale were flower girls. Isaiah Charite served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Stott, Brent Stott, Zach Wallisch, Jon Thurmond and Jason Cubilla. Sam Chastain was ring bearer. A reception was held at Blackfox Farms. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in this city.

Emily Ives Horn became the bride of James Bill Zouras in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 22, at John B. Murphy Memorial in Chicago. The Rev. Philip Blackwell performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dudley Horn. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bill James Zouras of Orland Park, Ill. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Rachel Elizabeth Horn was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alison Alkire Finley, Heather Osteen Mathias, Carrie Gailing Missele and Jill Kelly Talbert. Alan William Baumgartner and Clovis Nessia Jr. served as best men. Groomsmen were Kenneth Howard Levinson, Nicholas Joseph Preys and Thomas Jeremy Wanat. James Franklin Osteen III and Ryan Francis Stephan were ushers. A reception was held at John B. Murphy Memorial. After a wedding trip to Rio de Janeiro, the couple resides in Chicago.
