White and Dance

The engagement of Kayla Olivia White and David Jeffrey Dance is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Brian and Diana White of Indianapolis, Ind. Parents of the future bridegroom are Allen and Pam Dance. The couple will be married in the Spring in the Indianapolis area. Miss White received a degree in dental assisting from Kaplan College. Mr. Dance is pursuing an accounting and finance degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Smith and Kennedy

Kathryn Suzanne Smith became the bride of Austin Ray Kennedy in a ceremony on Saturday, July 9, at Lindsay Street Hall. Dr. Tony Wilson performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Scott and Ginger Smith. The bridegroom is the son of Pat Kennedy of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Emma Smith, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Smith, sister of the bride, Joanna Orange, Melissa Farmer and Marcia Barnette. Matt Barnette served as best man. Groomsmen were George Golightly, Kaleb Kennedy, Matthew Kennedy and Colby Kennedy. Aiden Wesenberg and Elijah Wesenberg were ring bearers. A reception was held at Lindsay Street Hall. After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Murfreesboro.

Smith and Robertson

Elizabeth Rose Smith became the bride of William Denton Robertson in a ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the home of the bride’s parents on Signal Mountain. Dr. Tony Wilson performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Scott and Ginger Smith. Parents of the bridegroom are Christine Robertson and Wayne and Jenica Robertson. Katy Smith Kennedy, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Emma Smith, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid. Leah Lunsford and Emma Lunsford were flower girls. Kevin Robertson served his brother as best man. Following a reception, the couple took a wedding trip Italy. They reside in Huntsville, Ala.

Clifton and Badgley

The engagement of Lauren Michelle Clifton and Seth Welling Badgley is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Keith and Laura Clifton of Corbin, Ky., and Richard and Sheri Deindoerfer of Lenoir City, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Jeff and Ann Badgley and Dave and Lynn Rich of Tampa, Fla. The wedding is planned for Thursday, April 28, at Gettysvue Golf and Country Club. Miss Clifton received an associate’s degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University. She is a member of Collegedale Community Church and is a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital. The future bridegroom is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business at Bryan College. He is a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and is employed by Miller Ranch.

Dempsey and Orr

The engagement of Corey Noelle Dempsey and Ricky Lee Orr is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of James and Helen Dempsey of Cohutta, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Sandra Orr of Ringgold, Ga., and the late James “Buddy” Orr Jr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Catoosa County Colonnade, Benton Place Campus, in Ringgold. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Johnnie Dempsey, the late Leopold and Rosalie Grund of Glen Burney, Md. Miss Dempsey is a graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School. She received an associate’s degree in middle grades education from Dalton State College, a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education from North Georgia College and State University and a master’s degree in middle grades education from the University of West Georgia. She is a teacher in the Whitfield County Schools System. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late James “Ed” and Katherine Orr and Robert “Bob” and Fannie Headrick of Ringgold. Mr. Orr is a graduate of Ringgold High School. He received an emergency mecial technician degree from Chattanooga State Community College. He is an emergency medical technician and volunteer with Catoosa County Fire Department, and coaches wrestling and football at Eastbrook Middle School.

Hendrix and Hutcheson

The engagement of Heather Michelle Hendrix and John LaFayette Hutcheson V is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Larry and Sheila Hendrix of Fort Oglethorpe. Parents of the future bridegroom are John and Margaret Hutcheson IV. A Spring wedding is planned. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William L. Gray, the late Arvin Hendrix and the late Sarah Rayl. Miss Hendrix is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in science from Berry College and is completing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Mercer University. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hutcheson III, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hines. Mr. Hutcheson graduated from McCallie School and received a bachelor of arts degree from Berry College. He is a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.

The engagement of Tiffani Danielle Kay and John Wesley Crider is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Kay. Parents of the future bridegroom are Becky Crider of LaFayette, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Crider. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 31, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Midge West, the late James West, and the late Flora Kay. Miss Kay received an associate’s degree in science from Chattanooga State Community College, where she was a member of Pi Theta Kappa honor society. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Tennessee Technological University, where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society, and a master’s degree in education from UTC, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi honor society. She is a member of Berean Baptist Church and is a middle school teacher and adjunct professor in the College of Education at UTC. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Elizabeth McClure of Tunnel Hill Ga., the late William McClure, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Crider of Wallaceville, Ga., the late Mary Crider, and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Crider. Mr. Crider received an Associate of Science degree degree from Chattanooga State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business entrepreneurship and marketing from UTC. He is a member of Berean Baptist Church and is owner of Timberline Outdoor Services.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Wayne and Carolyn McMahan of Stevenson, Ala., and the late Truman and Eva Maples. . Mr. Maples is a graduate of North Jackson High School. He received an associate’s degree in health and physical education from Chattanooga State Community College. He is employed by Truck N’ Trailers USA.

Sara Michal Howick and Margaret Howick Torrence, sisters of the bride, served as honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Brooke Davidson Dill, Sarah Celio Krenk, Katherine Higgason Lentz, Christy Wilson Myers, Charla Faye Purkey, Stephanie Ann Russell, Amanda Barksdale Stanfill and Jennifer Warren Terry. Matthew Kurt Mosteller served as best man. Groomsmen were Seth Michael Rodewald-Bates, Stephen Porter Ham, Devin George Hefferon, George Alexander Koumoutsos, Matthew Eugene Pierce, Benjamin Allen Rath, Paul Carter Russell, Kenneth Douglas Terry and Charles Barry Torrence Jr. A reception was held at Fairyland Club. After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Memphis.
