LaRoe and Cate

Ginny LaRoe became the bride of Matthew S.L. Cate in a ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Marin Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, Calif. Judge Jeremy Fogel performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Pamela Castle of Orangevale, Calif. Parents of the bridegroom are Stephen and Sharon Cate of Knoxville. Kathleen Joyner and Erin Velo were the bride’s honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Hilary DeMillo and Catherine Becker. Mia Velo was the flower girl. Chris Joyner served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Cate, Kade Jenkins and Kevin Linebarger. A reception was held at Marin Headlands Center for the Arts. The couple took a wedding trip to Sonoma, Calif. They reside in San Francisco.

Engagement

Flippo and Anderson

The engagement of Traci Jo Flippo and Jimmy Anderson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Bill and Rita Livezey and Tracy and Sherri Flippo. Parents of the bridegroom are James and Nancy Anderson. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 26, at Lookout Lake Bed and Breakfast. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Richard and Lona Prichard, Bill and Helen Flippo, the late Shirley Flippo and the late Martha Prichard. Miss Flippo is a graduate of Hixson High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University. She is pursuing a medical degree at the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine. She is a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jim and June Anderson, Juanita Reed and the late Lloyl Brady. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School. He received an associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Chattanooga State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business from Bryan College. He is project controls manager at PSE&G in New Jersey.

Kreitzer and Nelson

The engagement of Sarah Rebecca Kreitzer and Clifford Fount Nelson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jeannette Merrill and the late Steve Kreitzer. Parents of the future bridegroom are Shirley and Paul Nelson. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 31, at Brown County State Park in Indiana. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Lane of Columbus, Ind., the late Harold Lane, and the late Oscar and Esther Kreitzer. Miss Kreitzer received a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master’s degree in geology from the University of Kansas. She is a hydrogeologist. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Limuel F. and Gladys Farris and the late Mildred F. and Carl C. Nelson Mr. Nelson received a bachelor’s degree in geology from UTC. He is a geologist.

Brittany Nichole Smith became the bride of Ryan Keith Dicorato in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 8, at The Barn Event Center of the Smokies in Townsend, Tenn. The Rev. Laura Beth Gilbreth performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mike and Sherri Perdue of Ringgold, Ga., and Kevin and Mary Smith of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Parents of the bridegroom are Scott and Sharon Dicorato of Dayton, Tenn. Stephanie Westbrook, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Hinson, Megan Hamlin and Ceara Seiffert. Chloe Dicorato and Kelsey Dicorato were junior bridesmaids. Katy Perdue and Catherine Seiffert were flower girls. Brandon Dicorato served as best man. Groomsmen were Travis Chandler, David McLain and Robert Ridgeway. Alex Perdue was the junior groomsman. Jacob Seiffert was ring bearer. A reception was held at The Barn Event Center. After a Caribbean cruise, the couple resides in this city.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Morton. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Lovell Jason Morris III and the late Steven Lee Doak. Emily Reaves Berry was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Brantley Boyd, Emma Kate Mooney, Emily Claire Moore, Abigail Brannen Peed, Sarah Markley Stow, Sallie Wright Tingle, Sarah Logan Wilson, Samantha Carter Wright and Codee Bayless Yaw. Mr. Morris III served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Nathan David Bosshardt, Thomas Cessna Doak, William Benjamin Doak, Daniel Robert James, Andrew Lamar Miller, Lovell Jason Morris IV, Hugh William Morton, Peter Christopher Morton, Joshua Levi Shutt and Caleb Christopher Tingle. A reception was held at Lookout Mountain Golf Club. After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Charleston, S.C.

The engagement of Cindy Scoggins Shackleford and William Emerson Copeland is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Karen Bounds of Cleveland,Tenn., and Larry Scoggins. Parents of the future bridegroom are Nancy and David Copeland. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Feb. 18, in Destin, Fla. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Dorothy and Howard Thompson and the late Grace and Allen Scoggins. Miss Shackleford is a graduate of Red Bank High School. She received a degree in nursing from Chattanooga State Community College. She is a member of Calvary Chapel and is a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mary Alice and William T. Wallace, Everlyn Avel and the late Hollis Copeland. Mr. Copeland is a graduate of Hixson High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master’s degree in business administration from Tennessee Technological University. He is a member of Calvary Chapel, and is an energy trading analyst at TVA.
