Andrews and Sanderfur

The engagement of LaTasha Nicole Andrews and Gabriel Uriah Sanderfur is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Anita Steward of Columbia, S.C., and Willlie Scruggs of Spartanburg, S.C. Parents of the future bridegroom are Donald and Mary Sanderfur. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 12, in Atlanta. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elsie Jackson and Cora Wallace, both of Spartanburg. Miss Andrews received a degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. She is an accountant and a member of Living Waters Bible Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Lizzie Ann Sanderfur. Mr. Sanderfur received a degree in physical education from Tennessee State University. He is an educator and a member of Living Waters Bible Church.

The engagement of Rebecca Britton Finklea and Blake Wallace Young is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of J.D. Finklea of Florence, S.C., and the late Rebecca Finklea. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Young. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 28, in Charleston, S.C. The bride is a graduate of West Florence High School and the University of South Carolina. She is employed in international development at CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. in Charleston. The future bridegroom is a graduate of McCallie School and the College of Charleston. He is employed in outside sales for Staples Corporate Contract Division.

The engagement of Elisabeth Briana Mares and Corey Thomas Alan Hash is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Brian and Beth Mares of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Thomas Hash of Rossville and Dominique Hash of Fort Oglethorpe. The wedding is planned for Thursday, May 10, at The Grandview on Lookout Mountain. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jose and Janice Mares and Thomas Hall, all of Fort Oglethorpe. Miss Mares received an associate’s degree in business from Young Harris College. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management at North Georgia College and State University. She is a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Maraya Magness and Audrey Hash. Mr. Hash received an associate’s degree in accounting from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. He is employed by Frito Lay.

The engagement of Robyn Elizabeth Masengil and Michael Eugene Baker is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of John and Mary Jo Masengil. Parents of the future bridegroom are David and Sharon Swope and Paul and Debbie Baker of Cleveland, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 3, at Black Fox Farms in Cleveland. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Halter, the late Raymond Halter, Dorothy Masengil and the late Ted Masengil. Miss Masengil received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as a private nanny. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Doyle and Carolyn Neely, Faye Munger, the late David Munger, Ann Baker, the late Roy Baker, Wayne Gentry of Cleveland and the late Frances Gentry. Mr. Baker received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lee University. He is a U.S. Army linguist.

The engagement of Kathleen Margaret Morrison and David Scott Spencer is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McLaren Morrison Jr. of Norcross, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. David DeForest Spencer. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 24, at 173 Carlyle House in Norcross. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gordon Morrison of Atlanta, the late Mr. Morrison and the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Cargill. Miss Morrison received a bachelor’s degree in nursing, summa cum laude, from Mercer University and a master’s degree from the pediatric nurse practitioner program at Georgia State University. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner in the blood and marrow transplant center for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. William Stephenson, the late Mr. Stephenson, Elizabeth Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spencer. Mr. Spencer is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University. He is manager of operations analysis and reporting for Delta Air Lines in Atlanta.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Phyllis Smith of Rockport, Texas, the late Bill Smith, Pat Cooper of Conroe, Texas, Glory Cooper of Nacogdoches, Texas, the late Lesley Cooper, and the late Thomas Goodin. Mr. Cooper received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University. He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleveland and is a financial advisor for Morgan Keegan and Co. in Cleveland.
