Engagement

Bacon and Cox

The engagement of Kelly Elizabeth Bacon and Matthew Chase Cox is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stuart P. Bacon of Dayton, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Cox of Westmoreland,Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 25, at West End United Methodist Church in Nashville, where the future bridegroom is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. Henry Stuart Bacon, the late Mary Katherine Bacon and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Koontz. Miss Bacon is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Rice University and a law degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is an attorney with Mudter and Patterson, and is a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Dayton. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Juanita Beasley, the late Arthur Beasley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herlon Cox. Mr. Cox received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a a law degree from UTK. He is an attorney with Waddey and Patterson.

Engagement

Hambrick and McCoy

The engagement of Kristen Ann Hambrick and James Roland McCoy Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Leila Hambrick of Jasper, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Norma McCoy and the late James Roland McCoy Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 28, at Kimball Baptist Church, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Farish and Faye Alexander, Patricia Hambrick and the late James Hambrick, all of Bridgeport, Ala. Miss Hambrick is a employed as a payer relations specialist by National Seating and Mobility. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Wallace and Gladys McCoy and the late James Dixie and Lena Adell Downer. Mr. McCoy is employed by Pigeon Mountain Industries in LaFayette, Ga.

Carpenter and Holland

The engagement of Amanda Carpenter and James Holland is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Debbie Carpenter. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dan and Lisa Holland of Daleville, Miss. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 6. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lee and Betty Vanoer, Gordon and Anita Harrower of Dunnsville, Va., David and Tina Carpenter of Keystone Heights, Fla, and the late Paul Lowe. Miss Carpenter received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bryan College. She is a receptionist at Lighthouse Counseling Center and is a member of City Church of Chattanooga. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jim and Joann McRae of Daleville and David and Barbara Holland of Hooper, Colo. Mr. Holland received a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies from Bryan College. He is a truss inspector at Clearspan Components Inc., and is a member of Daleville United Methodist Church.

Keaty and Mattice

The engagement of Rory Brigitte-Anne Keaty and Kevin LeVan Mattice is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Erin Kenny Simpkins and Robert Burke Keaty of Nashville. Parents of the future bridegroom are Sandy and Janet Mattice. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 8, in Seacrest, Fla. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William Hardy Kenny of LaFayette, La., the late JoAnn Penny Kenny, the late Thomas St. Paul Keaty and the late Alicia Armshaw Keaty. Miss Keaty received a bachelor’s degree in retail and consumer sciences from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is an assistant buyer at The Cotton Mill Boutique and is a member of Cathedral of the Incarnation. The future bridegroom is the grandson of DeLys D. Robinson, the late James B. LeVan Jr., Kathryn M. Mattice and the late Harry S. Mattice. Mr. Mattice received bachelor’s degrees in finance and enterprise management with a collateral in international business from UTK. He is a client manager at Cigna Healthcare and is a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
