Ouzts and Durant
The engagement of Erin Virginia Ouzts and Noel Ballard Durant is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steven and Cynthia Hall Ouzts of Lexington, S.C. Parents of the future bridegroom are Daniel and Olive Ballard Durant. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 27, at Debarge Vineyards in LaFayette, Ga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edith L. Ouzts, the late Hebron C. Ouzts, Anne K. McWilliams of Camden, S.C., and the late J. Donald Hall. Miss Ouzts received a bachelor’s degree in environment and natural resources from Clemson University. She is a visitor use assistant at Glacier National Park, and is a member of Rock Creek Fellowship. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jaqueline H. Durant of Neoga, IlI., the late Dr. Adrian J. Durant Jr., Anne M. Ballard and the late James E. Ballard. Mr. Durant received a bachelor’s degree in environment and natural resources from Clemson University. He is land manager for Lula Lake Land Trust, and is a member of Rock Creek Fellowship.
Risley and Miller
The engagement of Hannah Elizabeth Risley and Dr. Benjamin Steven Miller is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Kevin and Stacy Risley. Parents of the future bridegroom are Steve and Judy Miller of Hamilton, Ala. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 7, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gordon and Jeanette Smith of Cookeville, Tenn., and Doris Risley of Nashville. Miss Risley is a graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School. She received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Freed-Hardeman University, where she was a member of Sigma Rho Social Club. She is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she is a member of Kappa Psi honor society. She is a pharmacist, and is a member of Red Bank Church of Christ. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Beulah Armstrong of Hamilton, Ala., the late B.A. Armstrong and David and Betty Miller of McKenzie, Tenn. Dr. Miller is a graduate of Hamilton High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Freed-Hardeman University and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He is currently at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Orthopedic Surgery. He is a resident physician pursuing a fellowship specializing in sports medicine in Jackson, Miss. He is an orthopedic surgeon, and is a member of Hamilton Church of Christ.
