Smith and Trimble
The engagement of Kathryn Murray Smith and Arch Edward Trimble IV is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Randolph Smith. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Arch Edward Trimble III. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 12, at Central Church of Christ, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Scott Murray of Bridgeport, Ala. Miss Smith is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was queen of the 2005 Cotton Ball. She is employed as a corporate sponsorship project manager by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Edward Trimble Jr. and Mrs. Lamar Edwards. Mr. Trimble is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed as a Congressional aide to U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischman.

Hasting and Buchanan
Kristie Burchell Hasting became the bride of Daniel Garett Buchanan in a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 2, at Bentley Park in Cleveland, Tenn. The Rev. Clayton Burchell Sr. performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Jack and Becky Burchell of Whitwell, Tenn. Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Peggy Buchanan. Becky Burchell was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Peggy Buchanan, Lauren Burchell and Makenzie Heiss. Mr. Buchanan served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Buchanan, Seth Hasting and Brandon Burchell. Seth Hasting was ring bearer. A reception was held in the Bentley Park clubhouse. A wedding trip is planned for spring. They reside in this city.
