Thompson and Kent
The engagement of Margaret Lea Thompson and Christopher Scott Kent is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jim and Margaret Thompson. Parents of the future bridegroom are Steve and Suzanne Kent. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 15, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joseph W. Thatcher, the late Lucy Thatcher, and the late Dr. Paul C. and Frances Thompson. Miss Thompson is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a physical therapist at Orange Grove Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Morton J. and Martha Kent, the late Thomas S. Respess Jr. and Lucille Respess of Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Kent is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a degree in graphic arts and imaging technology from Appalachian State University. He is employed as a manager at Chattanooga Fire Protection, and performs as DJ Scratchdent with the group ToneHarm.
Raymond and Rhodes
The engagement of Alanna Diann Raymond and Randall Douglas Rhodes is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Allen and Teresa Raymond. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tony Rhodes of Scottsboro, Ala., and Valorie King. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Signal Mountain United Methodist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Anthony and Carolyn Kimbrell of Eupora, Miss., and Patsy and Buford Raymond of Sunflower, Miss. Miss Raymond received an associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Chattanooga State Community College, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She is a radiologic technologist at Erlanger. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ennis Rhodes and Ann Bowen, both of Jasper, Tenn., and Gerald and Carolyn King of Cleveland, Tenn. Mr. Rhodes received an associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Chattanooga State Community College and a bacheor’s degree in business administration from Bryan College. He is a cardiac cath lab radiologic technologist at Memorial Hospital and is a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Woods and Bridenstine
The engagement of Sydney Clare Woods and William Lawrence Bridenstine is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of John and Janet Woods. Parents of the future bridegroom are John and Ann Bridenstine of Brentwood, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Friday, March 22, 2013, at The Church on Main. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Paul and Carolynn Mohney of Birmingham, Ala., and John and Joy Woods of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Miss Woods is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Auburn University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She received a master’s degree in speech language pathology from the University of Memphis. She is employed as a speech language pathologist by the Nashville Metropolitan School System, and is a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ila S. and Lawrence D. Molteni of Nashville, and Mary B. and Austin Bridenstine of Kileen, Texas. Mr. Bridenstine is a graduate of Father Ryan High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, entreprenuership and accounting from Auburn University. He is purchasing manager for Tennessee Filter Sales, and is a member of Cross Point Church in Nashville.
