Burgin and Slasor
Mary Elizabeth Burgin became the bride of Thomas Vincent Slasor in a ceremony on Saturday, June 2, at Tyner United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Davis and the Rev. Charlie Harrison performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mark and Margie Burgin. Parents of the bridegroom are Randy and Kelly Rayburn. Jena Burgin was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Chase, Jessica Campbell, Bradi Gowen, Erin Dietsch, Allison Dillard-Wade and Chelsie Sorgenfry. Marley Slasor was the flower girl. Trent Rhodes served as best man. Groomsmen were Spencer Slasor, Tanner Slasor, Daniel Shifflett, Matthew Burgin, Dirk Cain and Josh Ewing. Cale Nausley was ring bearer. A reception was held at Lindsay Street Hall. After a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., the couple resides in this city
Coughlin and Wells
The engagement of Katherine Brielle Coughlin and Thomas Julian Wells is announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of John Coughlin III of Ipswich, Mass., and Laurie Rockett of Waynesboro, Va. Parents of the future bridegroom are Robert and Paula Wells. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 8, at the home of the future bridegroom’s parents in Ooltewah. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Susan Reaser of Goose Creek, S.C., Spencer Rockett of Pullman, Wash., and Jack and Kathy Coughlin of Ipswich. Miss Coughlin received a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Lee University. She is employed as a wedding coordinator. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Betty Purser of Dayton, Tenn., the late N.Q. Purser and the late Virgil and Mary Wells. Mr. Wells received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed by U.S. Xpress.
Gann and Vaughn
The engagement of Sarah Gann and Lt. j.g. Michael Vaughn Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Benjamin Gann and Anita Cagle. Parents of the future bridegroom are Michael Vaughn Sr. and Sharon Vaughn of Columbia, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 29, at Red Bank Church of Christ, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Robert and Edna Matthews and the late Robert and Katherine Gann. Miss Gann received a degree in nursing from Middle Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She is a registered nurse. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Douglas and Gloria Vaughn, Lois Westmoreland and the late Edward Westmoreland, all of Columbia. Mr. Vaughn received a degree in computer and electrical engineering from Virginia Military Institute. He is a Lt. j.g. helicopter pilot in the U.S. Navy.
Moye and Coffey
Megan Elizabeth Alsobrook Moye became the bride of Michael David Coffey in a ceremony on Saturday, July 21, at Covenant Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. Render Caines performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Alice Lynn Alsobrook and Philip Stephen Moye. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. William Starling Coffey. Bailey Elizabeth Hixon was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jason Daniel Coffey, Mrs. Rudolph Stevens Hausler III, Mary Alice Holley, Amanda Paige Ivey and Mrs. Gregory Perkins. Sarah Elizabeth Perkins and Alexandria Justine Satterfield were flower girls. Jason Daniel Coffey served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Evan Robert Bissonett, Thomas Paul Blackburn, Rudolph Stevens Hausler III, John Derrick Nash and Adam Wilson Semtner. Gordon Patrick Strunk was ring bearer. A reception was held at the Mountain City Club. After a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., the couple resides in this city.

Jessica Lynn Cole became the bride of William Christopher Godbold in a ceremony on Saturday, June 9, at The Stables at Russell Crossroads in Lake Martin, Ala. Dr. William E. Dudley performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Karen Cofer Cole and Laurence Cole of Atlanta. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. William E. Godbold III. Jennifer Cole and Amanda Cole, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Harris, Carey King and Rachel Ravenelle. Elizabeth Whatley was the flower girl. Andrew Godbold served his brother as best man. Nick King, John Hyink, Patrick Moulton and Matt Ralph were groomsmen. Cooper King was ring bearer. A reception was held at The Stables. After a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands, the couple resides in Auburn, Ala.
