Engagement

Roulhac and Hedges

The engagement of Mary Allyn Roulhac and Stephen McLain Hedges is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Erwin Roulhac III of Greenville, Miss. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Lars Ely of Shaw, Miss., and James Robinson Hedges III. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 20, at Monteagle Sunday School Assembly in Monteagle, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson Toler of Inverness, Miss., the late Mrs. Billington Roulhac and Dr. George Erwin Roulhac Jr. of St. Louis. Miss Roulhac is a graduate of Washington School. She received a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was presented in the 2003 Delta Debutante Ball. She is tourism manager at the Oxford Convention and Visitors Bureau. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Charles Ellet Moore Jr., the late Mertland McLain Hedges, the late Mrs. Cooper Brooks and Carl Douglas Brooks. Mr. Hedges is a graduate of McCallie School. He attended the University of the South at Sewanee, and received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Auburn University. He is employed by Sunovion Pharmaceuticals.

Engagement

Sebastian and Lane

The engagement of Lyndsi Kristin Sebastian and David Michael Lane Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Sebastian of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Joan Burroughs of Ringgold, Ga., and Michael and Lucy Lane. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 13, at Beach Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dennis and Christine Helton of Greenville, S.C., and Pat Sebastian. Miss Sebastian is a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Dalton State College and a master’s degree in business administration from Bryan College. She is employed as marketing manager by the Chattanooga Times Free Press. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Gordon and June Fleming and Jack and Betty Lane. Mr. Lane is a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. He received an associate’s degree in political science from Dalton State College and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is self-employed.

Weitz and Pipes

The engagement of Rebekah Weitz and Ryan Alan Pipes is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Sharon and Bobby Emerling of Ringgold, Ga., and David and Renee Weitz. Parents of the future bridegroom are Alan and Beth Pipes of Murphy, N.C., and Kathy and Mark Skomp. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 6, at Lindsay Street Hall. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Fred and Louise Williams of Flintstone, Ga., and John and Loretta Weitz of Carrollton, Ga. Miss Weitz is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. She received an associate’s degree in nursing from Dalton State College and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of West Georgia. She is a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Roy and Betty Pipes of Murphy and Mary Thompson. Mr. Pipes is a graduate of Ringgold High School. He received bachelor’s degrees in history and education from the University of Georgia. He is a social studies teacher at Ridgeland High School.
