Wedding

Horn and Osteen

Rachel Elizabeth Horn became the bride of James Franklin Osteen III in a ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville. The Rev. Dr. Donovan Allan Drake performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dudley Horn. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Osteen Jr. of Brentwood, Tenn. Emily Horn Zouras, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Lynn Boring, Amy Rooney Bowden, Christine Vinsant Carter, Katie Morris Coffey, Lillian Long Douglas, Heather Osteen Mathias, Lindsey LeAnn Pankey, Sara Gunn Pennington, Sara-Kate Arnall Roberts, Lindsay Taylor Schmidt and Laura Evans Wilson. Mr. Osteen served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Jacob Brod, Robert Ryan Fesmire, John Hunter Gilbert, Thomas Matthew Harmon, Stephen Jason Mathias, Justin Cole McCarty, Andrew Bacon Provost and James Richard Story IV. Thomas Walker Mathias was the ring bearer. Ushers were James Richard Pace Jr., Busch Hinkle Thoma II and James Bill Zouras. A reception was held at the Belle Meade Plantation Carriage House in Nashville. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Nashville.

Engagement

Koger and Dixon

The engagement of Bonnie Brooke Koger and William Seth Dixon is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Edwin Koger of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Derrie Pulver of Ringgold and Tim Dixon of Dalton, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Feb. 16, at Chickamauga Presbyterian Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Crane, Doris Koger and Miles C. Koger. Miss Koger received a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in education and special education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a teacher at Ridgeland High School and is a member of Rossville Church of Christ. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Derryl Harkleroad of Rock Spring, Ga., Betty Massengale and Raymond Dixon, both of Ringgold. Mr. Dixon received bachelor’s degrees in business administration and accounting from the University of West Georgia. He is employed by TractManager Inc. of Chattanooga and is a member of Rock Bridge Community Church in Dalton.

Stout and Mathews

The engagement of Alison Curtis Stout and William Barton Mathews is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnes Stout. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Starr Mathews of Calhoun, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 11, at the Honors Golf Course. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry “Wig” Robinson, Mrs. John B. Stout of Memphis, and the late Mr. Stout. Miss Stout is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a degree in hospitality and business from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is a resource assistant at Milner Milling Inc. and is a member of Church of the Good Shepherd. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Bill Delaney Mathews of Calhoun, the late Robbie “Bobbie” Harlan Mathews, Jean Chappell Waters and the late Dr. Robert Alston Waters. Mr. Mathews is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a degree in risk management and insurance from the University of Georgia, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is a vice president and account executive for Starr Mathews Insurance and is a member of First United Methodist Church.

Burkholder and Bestvater

The engagement of Lindsay Elise Burkholder and Samuel Elliot Bestvater is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Bruce Burkholder of Pfafftown, N.C. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bestvater of Niskayuna, N.Y. The wedding is planned for Sunday, Sept. 1, in Chattanooga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burkholder of North Canton, Ohio. Miss Burkholder received a bachelor’s degree in English from Covenant College. She is a journalist and is a member of New City East Lake Presbyterian Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the Rev. J.R. Bestvater of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Key of Sundridge, Ontario. He is the great-grandson of Rita Netherton of Sundridge and Dorothy Farmiloe of Elk Lake, Ontario. Mr. Bestvater plans to graduate in May from Covenant College with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is a member of New City East Lake Presbyterian Church.

Hostetler and Mohney

The engagement of Honor Kingsley Hostetler and Richard Wesley Mohney is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of C. Anderson Hostetler of Bowling Green, Ky., and Linda P. Hostetler. Parents of the future bridegroom are Ralph and Jackie Mohney. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 29, at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, where the future bridegroom is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eleanor Peterson of Manlius, N.Y., the late Edward T. Peterson, Anne Register of Pinehurst, N.C., and the late Charles A. Hostetler. Miss Hostetler is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is employed as business travel sales manager for the Chattanooga Marriott. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. Nell Mohney, the late Dr. Ralph Mohney, Mary Gilbreath and the late Jack Gilbreath. Mr. Mohney is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia. He is founder and president of Market 3-D, a 3-D visualization firm.

Kramer and Taylor

The engagement of Erika Gabriele Kramer and Jon Michael Taylor is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Kramer. Parents of the future bridegroom are Michael and Lorie Taylor of Memphis. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 22, in the Alumni Chapel at Baylor School. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Berthold Wiegand, the late Johanna Wiegand and the late Richard and Joan Kramer. Miss Kramer is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in elementary education, summa cum Laude, from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and was presented in the 2007 Cotton Ball. She is a kindergarten teacher for Williamson County Schools and is a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Zerlenne Taylor of Montego Bay, Jamaica, the late Bill Taylor, James and Maryanne Dean and the late Rena Dean of Jonesboro, Ark. Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Memphis University School. He received a bachelor’s degree in logistics from UTK, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is an inventory analyst at the corporate offices of Tractor Supply Co. in Brentwood, Tenn.

Wood and Shiraef

The engagement of Dawn B. Wood and John M. Shiraef is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Janet Wood of Suwanee, Ga., and Barry Wood of Lansing, Mich. The future bridegroom is the son of Linda Shiraef. The wedding is planned for Sunday, April 7, at the Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. Miss Wood is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Georgia. She is a teacher at Lanier High School in Gwinnett County, Ga. Mr. Shiraef is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and Excelsior College. He is self-employed.

Daniel and Hoagland

Carolyn Kelley Daniel became the bride of Ben Askew Hoagland in a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Flintstone Baptist Church. The Rev. David Jenkins performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Paul “Lynn” and Carol Daniel. Parents of the bridegroom are John and Alison Hoagland of Fayetteville, Tenn. Bethany Faraone was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Bell, Ashley Danehy, Leah Deter, Hannah Doyle, Carrie Hatcher, Holly Hoagland, Katie Little and Lindsey Kirkland. Gracie Hoagland, Lily Hoagland and Hannah Huggins were flower girls. Mr. Hoagland served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Bell, Joseph Bergdoll, Michael Danehy, Matthew Daniel, Stephen George, Bond Hatcher, Alex Hoagland and Josh Little. Spears Askew was the ring bearer. A reception was held at The Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. The couple took a wedding trip to California. They reside in this city.

The engagement of Stephanie Mainord and Matthew Lowell Dover is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steve and Elena Mainord. She is an LPN and is a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Sharon Hornbuckle, Foster Stewart of Dunlap, Tenn., Gloria Dover and the late Robert Dover. Mr. Dover is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community college. He is employed with the U.S. Postal Service, and is a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.
