Wedding

Daniel and Hoagland

Carolyn Kelley Daniel became the bride of Ben Askew Hoagland in a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Flintstone Baptist Church. The Rev. David Jenkins performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Paul “Lynn” and Carol Daniel. Parents of the bridegroom are John and Alison Hoagland of Fayetteville, Tenn. Bethany Faraone was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Bell, Ashley Danehy, Leah Deter, Hannah Doyle, Carrie Hatcher, Holly Hoagland, Katie Little and Lindsey Kirkland. Gracie Hoagland, Lily Hoagland and Hannah Huggins were flower girls. Mr. Hoagland served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Bell, Joseph Bergdoll, Michael Danehy, Matthew Daniel, Stephen George, Bond Hatcher, Alex Hoagland and Josh Little. Spears Askew was the ring bearer. A reception was held at The Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. The couple took a wedding trip to California. They reside in this city.

Engagement

Meeks and Edwards

The engagement of Lindsay Meeks and Dr. Brian Edwards is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jim and Patti Meeks. Parents of the future bridegroom are John and Sally Edwards of Lancaster, Pa. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 15, in Philadelphia, where the couple resides. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Bill and Cassie Motes and the late Dr. Tom and Edith Meeks. Miss Meeks is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in dance from Florida State University and a master’s degree in dance/movement psychotherapy from Drexel University. She is employed as a dance/movement psychotherapist by Eleventh Street Family Health Services of Drexel University. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jack and Noreen Edwards of New Holland, Pa., and the late John and Leonor Gundel. Dr. Edwards is a graduate of Manheim Township High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Edwards is a research scientist at the University of Pennsylvania.

Engagement

Mainord and Dover

The engagement of Stephanie Mainord and Matthew Lowell Dover is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steve and Elena Mainord. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tim and Sherry Dover of Rossville. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 29, at the Gordon Lee Mansion. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dennis and Sally Mainord and Rodolfo and Maria Villar of Winchester, Tenn. Miss Mainord received a degree in nursing from Chattanooga State Community College. She is an LPN and is a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Sharon Hornbuckle, Foster Stewart of Dunlap, Tenn., Gloria Dover and the late Robert Dover. Mr. Dover is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community college. He is employed with the U.S. Postal Service, and is a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.
