McCallie and Cross
Ema Lee Rose McCallie became the bride of Brett Hunter Cross in a ceremony on Saturday, May 4, at Chester Frost Park. The Rev. Ronnie Phillips Jr. performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Gary McCallie and Rhonda Haun. Parents of the bridegroom are Daniel Cross and Danny and Brenda Cross. Jessica Logan was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Woodard, McCallie Adams, Annie Cross, Amanda Bell and Candy Clark. Sarah Kate Adams was the flower girl. Jared Glenn served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Cross, Zack Woodard, Michael Ashley, Jordon Cross and Devontae Shropshire. Copeline Cambell was ringbearer. A reception was held at Chester Frost Park. The couple took a wedding trip to Panama City Beach, Fla. They reside in Chattanooga.
Blake and Squires
The engagement of Kyndall Blake and Jonathan Squires is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Terry and Lisa Blake. Parents of the future bridegroom are Brian and Lynn Squires. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 6, at The Mill. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harold and Jewell Headrick and the late James and Betty Blake. Miss Blake is a graduate of Grace Academy. She received a bachelor’s degree in English writing from Lee University. She is a teacher at Silverdale Baptist Academy and is a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Bob and Ann Harrell of Dalton, Ga., Al Squires of Rome, Ga., and the late Juanita Squires. Mr. Squires is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He is employed by Paladin Attachments and is a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.
McCurdy and Kephart
The engagement of Gray Anna McCurdy and Wade Alexander Kephart is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dale and Beth McCurdy of Rock Spring, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Ed and Mary Jo Kephart of Alexandria, Minn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 20, at the Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center at Reflection Riding. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill and Nelda McCurdy of Rossville, Jean Holt of Abingdon, Va., and the late Rev. Henry Holt. Miss McCurdy is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in photography from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Va, She is a teller at BlackRidge Bank of Alexandria and is a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Selma Kephart of Alexandria, Millie Krautkremer of Grand Rapids, Minn., and the late Rolland Krautkremer. Mr. Kephart received a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. He is a teacher.

Margaret Lea Thompson became the bride of Christopher Scott Kent in a ceremony on Saturday, June 15, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The Rev. Robert Childers performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Jim and Margaret Thompson. Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Suzanne Kent. Emmy Garrigus was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Thompson, Candice Thompson, Sarah Yarnell, Lizzie Duff, Kara Brooks, Ashley Berkovich, Grace Massie and Allie Eady. Lucy Thompson and Emma Thompson were flower girls. Lowndes Robinson served as best man. Groomsmen were Dusty Kent, Adam Kent, Chris Bean, Davis Rittenberry, Richard Chandler, Justin Alper, Dave Webb and Will Russell. Fletcher Kent and Fletcher Thompson were ringbearers. A reception was held at Tennessee RiverPlace. After a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple will reside in this city.

The bride is the daughter of the late Sarah Threats and the late Eddie Hamler. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George McMillon Sr. Veronica Moffett was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Darlene Threats, Tiffany Armstrong and Filicia Crumsey. Junior bridesmaids were Jolishia Ashworth and Jazzmyne Ashworth. After a wedding trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., the couple will reside in Rossville.
