Garrett and McClane

The engagement of Vivian Joan Garrett and Matthew Douglas McClane is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Bill and Vivian Garrett of Pelham, Ala. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mike and Carolyn McClane of New Market, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 13, at The Barn at High Point Farms in Flintstone, Ga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill and Wanda Garrett of Gaithersburg, Md., the late Virginia Bollinger, Joan Pate of Lowndesboro, Ala., and the late Harold Pate. Miss Garrett is a graduate of Hope Christian School in Pelham. She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from the University of Alabama. She is a project writer for the Chattanooga Times Free Press, and is a member of Mountain Fellowship Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Cora Horner of Jefferson City, Tenn., the late Bernard Horner, and the late James and Bonnie Jean McClane. Mr. McClane is a graduate of Jefferson County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism media design from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a graphic designer and consultant, and is a member of Mountain Fellowship Church.

Anderson and Shartle

The engagement of Kourtney Kolyn Anderson and Brian Douglas Shartle is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Donny and Janice Anderson of Athens, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mark and Priscilla Shartle of Rossville. The wedding will be Saturday, April 6, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Tenn., followed by a reception at The Old Woolen Mill in Cleveland. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Ivy Hensley of Etowah and the late Clyde and Virginia Anderson. Miss Anderson received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Tennessee Wesleyan College. She is a nutrition educator for the Hamilton County Health Department. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Ralph and Annie Ruth Shartle and the late Jack and Anna Maria Nason. Mr. Shartle is a graduate of Piedmont College. He is owner of Pretzelmaker in Hamilton Place Mall.

The engagement of Kathryn Denise Lieberum and Bobby Tyler Jones is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Karen and Larry Lieberum. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Paul Jones, Kathryn Smith Patti and the late Joseph Simpkins. Mr. Jones received a bachelor’s degree from Kaplan University. He is employed as a senior information technology specialist.

The engagement of Kendall McKeldin Stokes and Joshua Scott Ray is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Harriette McKeldin-Stokes of Chattanooga and Dr. Larry Stokes of Savannah, Ga. The future bridegroom is the son of Janice Ray of Dayton, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 23, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lyda Yette McKeldin, the late Harry W. McKeldin Jr., the late Pauline Wilson and the late Jack Stokes. Miss Stokes is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She was presented in the 2007 Cotton Ball. She is a small case underwriter for unum and a fitness instructor for The Rush. She is a member of First Baptist Church, East Eighth Street. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Martha Hickman of Dayton. Mr. Ray is a graduate of Rhea County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from UTK, where he was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He is manager of Verizon Wireless and the managing partner of MJP Properties.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mary Logan Ezell, the late James Leslie Moore Jr., Margaret Probasco Jones and the late Robert Cannon Jones III. Miss Jones received a bachelor’s degree in metalsmithing and jewelry from Colorado State University. She is operations program coordinator for Craftworks Restaurants and Breweries, and is a member of the Church of the Good Shepard. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Sarah McKelly King, the late Walter Hughey King, Katherine Armes Graves of Atlanta, and the late Cothran Calhoun Graves. Mr. King received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and chemistry from the College of Charleston and a master of business administration degree from Lincoln Memorial University. He is a fourth — year medical student at Lincoln Memorial University, and is a member of the Church of the Good Shepard.

Ludmilla Cristina Bispels became the bride of William Eugene Dann in a ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Lake Tahoe, Nev. The Rev. David Beronio performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Nadia Levan and Mr. and Mrs. William Bispels Jr. of Berk County, Pa. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lawrence Dann of Lookout Mountain, Ga. Jenna Marie Cowher was matron of honor. Kimberley Cole Hummers was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Katherine Dann and Kelly Ann Simmons. Jessica Cristina Bispels and Jacqueline Cristina Bispels were junior bridesmaids. Mr. Dann served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Andrew Dann, Robert James Dann and Kevin Michael Hannahoe. Jonathan Maxfield Bispels was the junior groomsman. A reception was held at Edgewood Golf and Country Club. A wedding trip is planned for later this summer. The couple plan to reside in Lemoore, Calif.

He is employed by the United States Postal Service, and is a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Mr. Faust received a bachelor’s degree in wildlife and fisheries biology and management, entomology from the University of Wyoming, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternicy. He is a wildlife biologist, and is a member of Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
