Garrett and McClane
The engagement of Vivian Joan Garrett and Matthew Douglas McClane is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Bill and Vivian Garrett of Pelham, Ala. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mike and Carolyn McClane of New Market, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 13, at The Barn at High Point Farms in Flintstone, Ga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill and Wanda Garrett of Gaithersburg, Md., the late Virginia Bollinger, Joan Pate of Lowndesboro, Ala., and the late Harold Pate. Miss Garrett is a graduate of Hope Christian School in Pelham. She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from the University of Alabama. She is a project writer for the Chattanooga Times Free Press, and is a member of Mountain Fellowship Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Cora Horner of Jefferson City, Tenn., the late Bernard Horner, and the late James and Bonnie Jean McClane. Mr. McClane is a graduate of Jefferson County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism media design from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a graphic designer and consultant, and is a member of Mountain Fellowship Church.

The engagement of Christy Hall and David McIntyre is announced today. A beach wedding is planned for Thursday, May 23, in Destin, Fla.
