Cornett and Hill

The engagement of Misty Cornett and Jason Hill is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Joyce Restiano of Rocky Hill, Conn., and James Cornett. Parents of the future bridegroom are Ron Hill of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Janet Winfree. A fall wedding is planned. Miss Cornett is a graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School. She received a medical assisting degree from Chattanooga State Community College. She is employed as a medical assistant. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Polly Bailey of Kinston, N.C. Mr. Hill is a graduate of Riverdale High School. He attended Middle Tennessee State University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is a sales consultant at Capital Toyota Leasing.

Engagement

Denton and Helton

The engagement of Courtney Marie Denton and Gerald Patrick Helton is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Glen and Kim McNabb of Chattanooga, and Kenneth and Pamela Denton of Collierville, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Barney and Marianne Helton. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 1, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Betsy Denton of Griffin, Ga., Fred McDaniel and Sidna Davis. Miss Denton is a graduate of Red Bank High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UTC, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is employed by Unum. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Marvel and Laura Tinker, and the late Barney and Maxine Helton. Mr. Helton is a graduate of Hixson High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is an engineer at TVA Watts Bar.

Gotschall and Giardino

The engagement of Laura Grace Gotschall and John Paul Giardino is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Bill and Fran Gotschall. Parents of the future bridegroom are Carl and Elaine Giardino of Hockessin, Del. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 13, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Rhea and William Gotschall Sr., Margie Campbell of Livingston, Ala., and the late Frank Campbell. Miss Gotschall received a bachelor’s degree in business, cum laude, from Emory and Henry College, where she was a member of Kappa Phi Alpha Sorority. She is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She works in the Continuing Education Department at UTC, and is a member of Hixson United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Vito and Arlene Fierro and the late Thomas and Mary Giardino. Mr. Giardino received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado. He is vice president of Tennessee Valley Infrastructure Group.

Johnson and Morgan

The engagement of Angela Nichole Johnson and Jeremy David Morgan is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Don and Sheila Cardin of Cleveland, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Huffman and David Morgan, all of Dayton, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 1, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Katherine Johnson of Ringgold, Ga., the late C.D. Johnson, and the late Grace and Herman Parris of Chickamauga, Ga. Miss Johnson is a graduate of Ringgold High School. She received her cosmetology license from the Georgia Beauty Academy and a certificate in medical assisting from Allied Health. She is employed as a medical assistant. The future bridegroom is the grandson of David and Freddie Morgan, Rose Arnold and the late Melvin Arnold, all of Dayton. Mr. Morgan is a graduate of Rhea County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a project control special at TVA.

Jones and King

The engagement of Marian McGowan Jones and Collier Byrd Tilghman King is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Robert Cannon Jones IV and Mr. and Mrs. John Patterson Corey. The future bridegroom is the son of Dr. Walter Hughey King of Lookout Mountain, Ga., and Katherine King-Goodrich of Oakland, Calif. The wedding is planned for Friday, May 31, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mary Logan Ezell, the late James Leslie Moore Jr., Margaret Probasco Jones and the late Robert Cannon Jones III. Miss Jones received a bachelor’s degree in metalsmithing and jewelry from Colorado State University. She is operations program coordinator for Craftworks Restaurants and Breweries, and is a member of the Church of the Good Shepard. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Sarah McKelly King, the late Walter Hughey King, Katherine Armes Graves of Atlanta, and the late Cothran Calhoun Graves. Mr. King received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and chemistry from the College of Charleston and a master of business administration degree from Lincoln Memorial University. He is a fourth — year medical student at Lincoln Memorial University, and is a member of the Church of the Good Shepard.

Scruggs and Young

The engagement of Alexandra Nicole Scruggs and Gerald Thomas Young is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Steve and Angie Scruggs. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tom and Pat Young of Cincinnati, Ohio. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 18, at The Mill at Lebanon in Lebanon, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nancy Scruggs, the late Bob Scruggs, and Allen and Frances Snyder. Miss Scruggs is a graduate of Boyd Buchanan School. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lipscomb University. She is a pre-kindergarten teacher, and is a member of Christ United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Voula Young, the late Jerry Young, and Richard and Lucy Alexander. Mr. Young received a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Lipscomb University. He is a marketing technology specialist.

Bispels and Dann

Ludmilla Cristina Bispels became the bride of William Eugene Dann in a ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Lake Tahoe, Nev. The Rev. David Beronio performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Nadia Levan and Mr. and Mrs. William Bispels Jr. of Berk County, Pa. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lawrence Dann of Lookout Mountain, Ga. Jenna Marie Cowher was matron of honor. Kimberley Cole Hummers was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Katherine Dann and Kelly Ann Simmons. Jessica Cristina Bispels and Jacqueline Cristina Bispels were junior bridesmaids. Mr. Dann served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Andrew Dann, Robert James Dann and Kevin Michael Hannahoe. Jonathan Maxfield Bispels was the junior groomsman. A reception was held at Edgewood Golf and Country Club. A wedding trip is planned for later this summer. The couple plan to reside in Lemoore, Calif.
