Hill and Pollard
The engagement of Beatrice Lashun Hill and Thaddeus Pollard Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Rosa Jammeh and the late Rodney Hill. Parents of the future bridegroom are Angela and Thaddeus Pollard Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 28, at Friendship Central Community Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Stella Smiley, Mary Eyers, the late Otis Watson and the late Charles Kitchen. Miss Hill received an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Chattanooga State Community College. She is employed by Durham School Services and attends Olivet Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Argentina Pollard. Mr. Pollard is a graduate of Brainerd High School and attends Olivet Baptist Church.
Campbell and Wheeler
Kristen Campbell became the bride of Joshua Wheeler in a ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 11, at Blowing Rock, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Craig and Kim Campbell of Louisville, Ky. Parents of the bridegroom are Sugar Wheeler and Dawson and Stephanie Wheeler. Allie Duke was maid of honor and Jake Wheeler was best man. A reception was held at The Inn at Ragged Gardens in Blowing Rock. After a wedding trip to Telluride, Colo., the couple resides in Denver, Colo.
Alexander and Craven
Abby Alexander became the bride of Dr. Robert Andrew Craven in a ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 1, at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, S.C. The Rev. Robert A. Adams and the Rev. Dr. B. Mike Alexander Jr., father of the bride, performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. B. Mike Alexander Jr. of Murrells Inlet. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Douglas C. Craven. Elizabeth Lawson was maid of honor. Bryn Alexander was the flower girl. Sr. Stephen D. Craven, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Joshua D. Clark, Zachary J. Conway and Daniel L. Parker. Chad Alexander was usher and reader. A reception was held in Kimbles at Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet. After a wedding trip to Moorea and Bora Bora, the couple resides in Charlotte, N.C.
Herman and Cavallaro
The engagement of Leslie Dawn Herman and Vincent Anthony Cavallaro is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Fred Lee Herman of Alvin, Texas, and Laurel Adel Herman of Soddy-Daisy. Parents of the future bridegroom are Wayne and Betty Cavallaro of Mount Juliet, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Sunday, Dec. 21. The bride- elect is the granddaughter of the late Tommy and Mildred Varner, Dorothy Ritter of Baton Rouge, La., and the late Fred Herman. Miss Herman is a graduate of Red Bank High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in physics and biology from Emory University and a doctor of medicine degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is a doctor and is a member of Christ Family Church. Mr. Cavallaro received a bachelor’s degree in science computer engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a master’s degree in science automotive engineering from Lawrence Technological University. He is an engineer at Volkswagen and is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Wolff and Edmondson
The engagement of Heather Patricia Wolff and Joshua William Edmondson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Bob and Debby Reagan and Gary Wolff, all of Sevierville, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Carla Edmondson and Bobby Edmondson of East Ridge. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 5, in Patten Chapel on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nora Wolff of Houston, Texas, the late Walter Wolff and the late Dean and Mona Sayre. Miss Wolf received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UTC, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She is employed in sales and marketing for Southern Communications Services. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Effie Edmondson, the late Harley Edmondson, the late Virginia Thomas and the late Jimmie Williams. Mr. Edmondson is employed in sales for Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
Ingram and Richardson
Lisa Ann Ingram and John Shannon Richardson were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Little Brown Church on Signal Mountain. The Rev. Betsy R. Switzer was the officiant. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John “Dave” Duncan and the late Paul F. Ingram. The bridegroom is the son of Beverley Ambler Richardson and the late Dr. Charles Richardson. Aryl M. Hoats served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Olivia A. Richardson, Sherri G. Conway and Isabella Stall. The flower girls were Lucy Veal and Emma Veal. The bride wore an empire, vintage gown in champagne satin overlaid in fine mesh lace. Its off-shoulder design flowed into bell-shaped, three-quarter sleeves trimmed in champagne Brussels lace appliques. Matching lace appliques also bordered the chapel-length train. A silk, ivory, floral comb held her champagne blusher veil. The bridesmaids wore tea-length gowns in shades of sepia, light peach and moss trimmed in ecru lace in a vintage 1930s style. The flower girls wore long, ivory satin dresses with empire waistlines and a wide band of lace bordering the hemlines. They wore halos of aqua ribbons and peach silk flowers and carried ivory satin flower baskets. Wayne Richardson served as best man. Groomsmen were Monty Veal, Tom Moquin, Dale “Pete” Shofner and Joseph Romeo. Levi Campbell was the ring bearer. A reception was held at The Mayor’s Mansion. The couple’s ivory, four-tier wedding cake was decorated with champagne scrollwork on each tier and an R monogram. Guests were served a buffet of beef or pork tenderloin, with an array of salads, vegetables and breads. The Amabile string trio played Irish/folk ballads during cocktail hour, followed by Italian opera music during dinner. The couple departed on their wedding trip in a 1934 Chrysler Airflow.
