Kain and Adams
The engagement of Kathleen Kain and John David Adams is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Kain of Hendersonville, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dr. and Mrs. J. David C. Adams. The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 29, at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Kain of Harlingen, Texas, Rita Fullen of Columbus, Ohio, and the late Richard Fullen. Miss Kain received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She was an elementary schoolteacher in Knoxville for three years and is currently employed as a teacher at Grace Early Learning Center in Georgetown, Ky. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shirley, the late Walter S. Adams II and the late Sue A. Adams. Mr. Adams received a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in business administration from UT. He is a logistics specialist at Toyota Tsusho in Georgetown and is a member of White Oak United Methodist Church.
Beene and Wells
The engagement of Charlotte Ryan Beene and Philip Aaron Wells is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Meg Crimmins Beene of Lookout Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mitchell Beene. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Douglass Wells IV. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 26, at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church, where the future bride is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Crimmins Jr. of Lookout Mountain, Mrs. Melvin Woody Beene and the late Mr. Beene. Miss Beene is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a teacher at Highland Plaza First United Methodist Preschool. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Wells and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Adcock. Mr. Wells is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in communication from UTC. He is an assistant in the Hamilton County Public Defender’s office.
