The engagement of Mindy LaShon Shook and Clayton Kyle Ellis is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Scott and LaShon Shook of Chickamauga, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Lamar and Debi Ellis of Adel, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 9, at Gin Creek Plantation in Hartsfield, Ga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jack and Melba Harp of Rossville, Ga., Lawrence Shook of Chickamauga and the late Betty Shook. Miss Shook is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. She received a bachelor?s degree in kinesiology athletic training and exercise science from Georgia Southern University. She is pursuing a master?s degree in health and physical education at Columbus State University. She is a certified athletic trainer. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ronald and Mary Coleman of Adel, Charles and Martha Frazier of Adel, Imogene Ellis of Tifton, Ga., and the late Harvey Ellis. Mr. Ellis is a graduate of Cook County High School. He received a bachelor?s degree in kinesiology exercise science from Georgia Southern University. He is pursuing a degree in physical therapy assisting at Darton College. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Adel, and is employed as a physical therapy technician.
