Vincent, Riggs say they dont plan to seek Watsons legislative seat; Jim Hall plans run for state senate

Jim Vincent, a former state representative, and Charles Riggs, former Rhea County 911 director, both confirmed today they would not run to succeed state Rep. Bo Watson, R-Hixson.



Ive already got into my retirement, and Im enjoying it, Mr. Vincent said.



Mr. Riggs confirmed he would not run for the 31st District state representative spot.



In other political news, Jim Hall, a former chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board, said he plans to run as a Democrat for the state Senate District 11 seat. That seat is being vacated by state Sen. David Fowler, R-Signal Mountain.



Chattanooga attorney Hank Hill also announced he is running for Sessions Court judge.
